Cancelled my Legions Imperialis preorder as I coudnt believe how they handled the relaunch of a game steeped in nostalgia for me. I then saw Mantic were already planning and developing Epic Warpath and, from what i have seen so far, have out done GW and delivered a game that should have been. This will be an easy All-In for me. The minis look stunning, the game play is exactly what i would expect from Mantic, and it actually is a 'big box game', which is what Epic scale games should be. Im young again! Bravo Mantic, bravo!
Mantic are absolute kings of getting to the core of what makes an experience great, while stripping away barriers to fun. This game is going to be special, and a huge hit I suspect Mantic doesn't even expect. This is still a VERY underserved corner of our hobby!
It might not be Epic in name, but it already feels Epic in everything else. Please let Marauders be in that first set of 4 (or failing that : in the stretchgoals) Every bit of info has confirmed that this is going to be a really fun game.
I love that this was community playtested with the designers on hand to receive the feedback straight from the source. The minis look great, the gameplay video was awesome...2/14 can't come soon enough!
I'm excited, although I will say that the models thus far don't communicate a sense of scale as the largest models aren't all that big compared with the infantry. I feel like part of the point of epic scale is that you get to have tiny infantry running between the feet of giant walkers, super heavy battle tanks with big guns, with aircraft flying around the table. The sense of scale only really exists in the relative scale between different things. The scale between the vehicles shown and the infantry seems off, like the infantry is as tall as the tanks. A Bradley infantry fighting vehicle or an Abrams tank is much larger than a single soldier. I get in larger scale games you need to scale down the vehicles so they aren't massive hunks of plastic but I feel like there should be many vehicles that are much larger than the infantry to really communicate the sense of scale. I would hope that most games would include something "titan" scale that really towers over infantry as that's where a lot of the spectacle is for me.
I'm really looking forward to this one. Looks like it'll be a fun solid game. Throw in Forge Fathers and veer-myn and I'm even more in. I love those space rats. Looking good Mantic!
One of the folks in the video mentions that the game doesn’t lack depth at 1:50. We’d also argue that not all games flow nicely and are easy to learn so to hear them say that is positive too.
I've been eagerly anticipating the Kickstarter launch, but I have a few questions. Will the Kickstarter campaign only offer the box set, or will there be options to purchase just the rules, tokens, etc. (everything but the models)? Additionally, I'm curious if there will be a design system available for creating custom unit stats. I want to express my genuine interest in the project, but I was a bit disappointed by the scale that was chosen. If the models were 6mm or 15mm, I already have hundreds of models in those scales and would have been thrilled to expand my collection further. The rules look great, though, so I want to use them with what I already have.
There will be an opportunity to purchase just the essentials but we hope when you see the quality and value in our army deals you’ll want to dive in with some new models too.
Don’t be worried about that. We’ve only shown you a small selection of the options available for 2 of the factions. There’s much more to come when we share everything with you on Valentine’s Day!
Yet again another great simple game from Mantic, with ugly, miniatures. Let’s hope they continue to support the game, unlike a lot of there previous games. Might play it with Gw or 3D printed models, as those models are so bad.
There are a lot of buzz words and catch phrases but no real substance to what they are saying. This is a big problem for wargaming creators, companies, and influencers. Honestly.
The folks interviewed in this video aren’t influencers or creators. They’re passionate gamers who wanted to get involved in playtesting our game and we asked them what they thought.

Can't wait to see Forge Fathers.

I will back this to support the game and see more factions. An Epic Kings of War would be awesome too!
Ronnie and the Mantic crew are really easy to like.
Good to see you playtesting Steve!
I am super excited for this to drop on Wednesday
I know what my wife is getting me for Valentines Day. I should probably tell her....
It might not be Epic in name, but it already feels Epic in everything else.

I am really excited about this game. Expect me to pledge on Day One.
Mantic, I was unaware of what you’ve been up to. I’m really excited for this.
0:36 let's not get bogged down with who killed who...

I would also say that I'd personally prefer having more massive and imposing units for the four armies rather than have more armies.
We haven’t shown you everything yet! There’ll be big super heavies too but if we showed you everything now where would the fun be in that!
@@manticgames I can't wait to see what "epic" monstrosities Ronnie has had floating around in his head all of these years!
Can’t wait for the KS!!
And please, please, please give us some Epic terrain crates!
I'm really looking forward to this one. Looks like it'll be a fun solid game. Throw in Forge Fathers and veer-myn and I'm even more in. I love those space rats. Looking good Mantic!
Forge Fathers are one of our 4 factions at launch and if all goes well Veermyn will be out first faction unlocked 🔓 so I think you’ll be pleased 👍🏼
It is natural to say It flows nicely and is easy to learn but what about tactical depth for those who enjoy this type of challange?

@@manticgames he did. Can not wait for Valentine's Day.
Those enforcer grav tanks look hella underdetailed when compared to the gorgeous Mules!
We're sure you'll love them too when you see them up close.
They look like the wrong scale plus they dont have a great paint job and not having a base can also make them look smaller.
Does anyone know when it's likely to drop, kick starter says it's an upcoming project?
It launches on Valentines Day - February 14th … next week!

@@manticgames oh, I love them. It's just a budget constraint. Thanks for the information - that's good news!
The vehicles seem way too small compared to the infantry, its a pity as the models are good they just look wromg
Was it FUN though?
0.26 - first person speaking, first words said …”It’s great fun!” I think that answers your question 😉
Okay, but gonna need someone else to paint all of these for me. Tony charges an arm and a leg though.
After watching that how to play with the enforcers and plague I do think it looks like a solid game but I'm a bit concerned about balance.
Don’t be worried about that. We’ve only shown you a small selection of the options available for 2 of the factions. There’s much more to come when we share everything with you on Valentine’s Day!
The infantrie looks great, but those vehicles are bad very bad
First comment fools!
