Cotto is one cool customer. Maximum respect to Miguel for the way he conducts himself in the ring and outside of it. Although he lost fair and square to Manny he fought valiantly and there is no shame in that. There will aways be controversy surrounding the Margarito defeat though as it is likely that he had the dodgy handwraps for that fight also, otherwise I think Cotto would have won a decision. If they fight again I think Cotto prevails. Mayorga is entertaining but ultimately a joke.
Cotto fought well,stayed calmed and used his superior boxing skills to dominate the fight HOWEVER,he took more punches that I would've liked to see,every time Mayorga went on the offense he landed on Cotto almost at will,despite the adjustments on his stance he still very hittable,he even had him a little wobbly in the 7 rd.This certainly spells doom for Cotto in a possible rematch with Margacheato who is way more aggressive than Mayorga,and connects that dreaded uppercut with higher efficiency.

Deep down he can't be as confident as he portrays after the recent beatings he has taken. Mayorga has had one knock out in the last 8 years and has been knocked out 3 times. He does have power but he loads up on every punch and they are telegraphed by top fighters. The best punch is the one you don't see coming and good fighters see every punch he throws.

If Mayorga was swimming in the ocean and a great white shark was coming towards him I wonder if he would think he would win.
Deep down he can't be as confident as he portrays after the recent beatings he has taken. Mayorga has had one knock out in the last 8 years and has been knocked out 3 times. He does have power but he loads up on every punch and they are telegraphed by top fighters. The best punch is the one you don't see coming and good fighters see every punch he throws.
