Just now was the first time I've seen it since that night in 1989. Vivid memories of listening intently for every word. Has to be one of the best late night interviews ever.
“Every head must bow, every tongue must profess, this is the greatest of all time.” 1) what an amazing line 2) brought a tear to my eye 3) the respect these men had for each other makes it a travesty they never were able to step into the ring together. I think Ali was right, if Tyson had gotten his hands on him Ali would be done for. It’s the hitting him that would be that hard part, Ali was just too damn quick.
People often understimate how hard ali hits tho. Despite being as light and fast as a featherweight every single one of ali's punches hit like a god damn truck. The legend was a heavyweight despite being so fast and like all heavyweights he was a hard hitter. Most likely ali would use his size and reach advantage to just dance circles around tyson eventually reading tyson's rhythm and just sting him repeatedly like a killer bee on steroids.
Tyson would have never laid a hand on Ali even if they had paid him all the money in the world .Tyson always become so emotional that he gets teary eyes .great respect and admiration .also Ali loved Tyson immensely
Crazy you see on both sides how much respect they have for one another. Both looked so star struck!!! jonnysongs we need host like him today
Does his show still come on? I remember a few years back I would watch it but I haven’t seen in in a couple of years.
jonnysongs Arsenio was the only one who could pull this off. Ali, Sugar Ray and Tyson. This is priceless.
Jimmy Johnson ill take that L. 😂 You still a douche for pointing it out
Ali: You’re the greatest
Mike: no u
this is a badass clip though
No you shut up
Mike was thinking: hehe boi
I like when Tyson talks about Ali and how he respect his hero, what a humble guy.
R.I.P mr Mohammed Ali.
Im just so happy that this kind of videos are still exist.
My grandpa talks about Muhammad Ali
My father talks about Mike Tyson
And I talk about Khabib Nurmagomedov
Agree
Awesome words
Ur son will talk about me😼
khabib is a beast, but gsp for my is the goat
Khabib is great but nowhere near these two legends...sorry
Wow this possibly my favorite video on TH-cam.. Mike was always a humble person and payed respect to the ones who came before him, sugar ray has always had a personality that made you think he wasn't a boxer, very sincere and playful and ALI.. He was the MAN!! LOL
was? still is and ever will be.
boxing is a rich respectable and educational institution ! they trained inside and outside !
“Are you colored?” ..Ali’s physical condition slowed to a crawl, but even then his mind was as sharp as ever
what's the meaning of this phrase? i get it literally but i think i miss something. Also i'm not american so please give me context if necessary
@@giovannirallo9284 basically he's saying Mike Tyson hit harder (and obviously so) than the boxer that Ali mentioned, it was like a sarcastic comment to say "are you coloured" - he could have also said something like "is the sky blue?". Hope that cleared it up
@@rajs7341 ahhh thanks, i get it now
@@rajs7341 not really. Colored people live in the bush and have no knowledge about the outer world. He cracked a joke and was being funny and sarcastic. Like are you dumb? Do you live on this planet kind of stuff etc.
That phrase was like "do you live in the cave?"
RIP Mohammad Ali
😂💗
Spell it correctly
Instead say May Allah have mercy upon him
"every head must bow, every tongue must profess this is the greatest of all time"
well then mike you the second greatest.
This brought me to tears. I wasnt born that time but it look like it was the best time to live in
I love how respectful Tyson to Ali.
A champion to a champion.
Ali once said that the man who could beat him wasn't born yet. I believe he thought Mike tyson was that man.
Joe frazier : dude i was born like 25 years ago
Don't be stupid ali is the true all rounder of boxing .he got skills endurance anything you talk about boxing. Yes Tyson is great. But ali is the greatest.
@Love Yourself to go beyond the realms of your life career you don't know what Ali did for civil rights
Look at a radio interview with Tyson learn something about being called the greatest its not about fighting
@Love Yourself 1.Muhammad Ali
2.Sugar Ray Robinson
3.Mike Tyson
@Manifest-Easy In his prime no one can beat Ali cayz he was so fast
"He's a real champ".
Must be legend to hear it from him
I watched this episode the night it aired in 1989. Afterward, my friend and I looked at each other and marveled at how cool that interview was. We enjoyed every second of it. Just now was the first time I've seen it since that night in 1989. Vivid memories of listening intently for every word. Has to be one of the best late night interviews ever.
I could watch this interaction a million times, you can feel the amount of respect and love through the screen.
They need to re-upload this in HD resolution and better sound. This was an incredible moment to be cherished for memories. ✌️☮️
J. H. Are you uneducated?
@@lucifer5898 perhaps. If so, why not educate him?
@@kylechambers7807 lol ever heard of upscaling?
this was likely recorded to video tape so there is no way to convert to HD that is only possible for film
It's not a game 😅🤦♂️
You can really see that Mike loves Ali (No Homo)...
Hey wassup I'm from the future its 2018 saying no home is offensive
@@mosesmessiah9098 hshahaha
@@mosesmessiah9098 lol you tell him, Mr. Future

he was the reason why mike started boxing he wanted to be like muhammad ali
“Every head must bow, every tongue must profess, this is the greatest of all time.”
1) what an amazing line
2) brought a tear to my eye
3) the respect these men had for each other makes it a travesty they never were able to step into the ring together. I think Ali was right, if Tyson had gotten his hands on him Ali would be done for. It’s the hitting him that would be that hard part, Ali was just too damn quick.
He wouldn't have been done for... Ali took punches from Foreman and Frazier. He had a legendary all time great chin.
im pretty sure he said "every tongue must confess" not profess
As Tyson told all the fighters Ali fought were killers. Their punched could not knock him down way past his prime. Ali is the greatest.
Sugar Ray Leonard is like an awkward third wheel while Mike and Ali are trading compliments haha
5:03 how the dab was invented
Haha
YOOOOOOOO
LeemoMeemo im dead🤣
HAHAHAHA
😁
Rest in peace muhammed Ali, you are a legend no one will forget, you will be missed, Champion.
Geez... Goosebumps everywhere, when Ali and Tyson began to talk about each other... *TRUE RESPECT!*
This is how a talk show should be. Love watching these archives
Crazy you see on both sides how much respect they have for one another. Both looked so star struck!!! You can see Ali who seemed uninterested at first with the interview just perk right up the second he seen greatness like himself walk in and then Tyson just sitting in awe. This is the kind of respect and love between people you just can't teach.
Muhammad Ali - the invisible punch or the punch you dont see
Mike tyson-one of the hardest punchers ever in this planet
No. He is quite low down on the list of hardest punchers.
i disagree with that
according to Muhamad Ali ,Mke tyson the hardest puncher ever in this planet
Are you delusional? lol tyson literally moves his body into his punches.
Tyson is definitely one of the hardest hitters of all time, up there with George foreman and deontay wilder
@generatorsarefake and that's the correct technique. Most boxers swing their hands only, Tyson keeps his bicep and forearm form 90 degree, much stronger punch
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un "We belong to Allah and to Allah we shall return." Rip Champ
I never knew this existed, it makes me so happy. This is how we as people need to treat eachother, with respect and dignity!
inailahi wainailahi rajiun RIP mr muhammad ali janah for you amiin...
3:05 That smile from Tyson just makes you happy :')
Which one of yall still miss legendary Muhammad Ali in 2019?
Still?? He will always be missed 😭
💔💔
2020 and still missin’ him... ☝🏼
Me
2020! And till my death!!!
He was so calm and focused as a boxer unlike nowadays where the boxers are rude and agressive all the time❤
Sumit Sharma Khabib isn’t a boxer
Every time I watch this video .. A big smile appears on my face
Are you coloured? Parkinsons and he comes up with that. What a legend.
I didn' get it. what was the meaning of that and the humour of it? Thank you
@@leadersmadeandborn he basically meant "It's obvious he hits harder" as it's obvious that the host is black or colored, hope that helped!
@@josemaganagomez8630 ah vale , gracias por aclararlo. Muy buena la entrevista.
Omair Paracha what does Parkinson’s do ?
@@GG-kr3up Bit late but parkinson affects your movement. Tremors in your hand, trouble with moving, trouble with standing up, loss of balance, stiffness. That sort of thing

"If he punch me, Im ~~~, that is if he could catch me" - Muhammad Ali.... And you know
Ali would have no chance against tyson, but Ali is iconic etc. The greatest is tyson and ali admits it in the video. Concerning what tyson says, ali is his hero and big brother , it is normal for him to say that Ali is the best. But when Ali says he is scared of tyson, that s real, he knows the level of Tyson.
@@mahodu68 agree. Tyson was a total beast while Ali was kinda all round boxer but raising bars up
@@peoplebelievealiensarereal well Tyson is more of a fighter then a boxer tbh although o think he is the goat I do think Ali had a much more effective boxing technique then Tyson but nevertheless they are both true legends and heroes of mine
@BlaZe Excalibur and we all know Ali would put himself through torture to make sure he followed up his words.
Such a great friendship from these two
Between those 4 man
Wow! I had never seen that interview. What a gem, so glad it came up on my feed, enjoyed every second of it.
Tyson was right that he fought with some killers and defeated them all
Liston , Foreman , Frazier , Shavers what a beasts and all of them were defeated by the GOAT
Yeah that's why he said ali will beat him too,
Sergio Calderon liston,williams,lyle,moore...
Now THIS is a talkshow ! Had my eyes all wet seeing the respect but most importanly the humility and humanity between them all.
3 Greatest Boxers of their own times and weight. Their fights are very entertaining unlike boxing today.
Everything dies eventually.
Meanwhile the little scared man is claiming to be the GOAT - mayweather

3 great boxers, and a brilliant interviewer Arsenio was a lovely guy, and having these legends on the show, wow, amazing
My god, so much respect between them. I came across this video and that just made my day. God bless you Ali. We will never forget you. Mike Tyson will always respect you. His admiration for Ali is so big that I think he would never fight against Ali because he was his idol.
He talks exactly like Don Corleone.
