I was very happy that you found the long video version with the background. He even asks twice if he sang well. Sometimes you forget how young he was back then. He was 22 and was away from home a little longer for the first time. He got really homesick in China, so his caregivers worried about him. Then his father came and his family made sure that he always had one of them around. Even today, his family is the most important thing for Dimash. Even though I think he's gotten a better grip on his homesickness now. Today he arrived in Dubai and his family, even his elderly grandmother, was there again. That's one of the things I love about him. He still knows what is really important in life.

This was his 2nd performance on that show. SOS was his first and he blew them away! He had to have bodyguards the next day. During this performance of Opera 2, his Dad was in the audience and he didn't know it. He said in an interview that if he had known his Dad was there, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' on stage. 😄That was his Dad doing the fist-pump at the end.
So glad he didn't know. His reaction when he first saw his Dad was like a pro, not skipping a beat, then rushing down to him. BUT mostly I'm glad because I loooved his being "cheeky". Perfect! lol

I was very happy that you found the long video version with the background. He even asks twice if he sang well.
Sometimes you forget how young he was back then. He was 22 and was away from home a little longer for the first time. He got really homesick in China, so his caregivers worried about him.
Then his father came and his family made sure that he always had one of them around. Even today, his family is the most important thing for Dimash. Even though I think he's gotten a better grip on his homesickness now. Today he arrived in Dubai and his family, even his elderly grandmother, was there again.
That's one of the things I love about him. He still knows what is really important in life.

This was his 2nd performance on that show. SOS was his first and he blew them away! He had to have bodyguards the next day. During this performance of Opera 2, his Dad was in the audience and he didn't know it. He said in an interview that if he had known his Dad was there, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' on stage. 😄That was his Dad doing the fist-pump at the end.
So glad he didn't know. His reaction when he first saw his Dad was like a pro, not skipping a beat, then rushing down to him. BUT mostly I'm glad because I loooved his being "cheeky". Perfect! lol
