Actually, everybody forgot about ash existing except for Elizabeth because the leader of "those from the past" was a direct ancestor of ash so his non-existing would cause ash not to be born in the first place.
In Ash's team ending, it's said that those two did eventually forgot about Ash. Betty somehow restored their memories, with Shen said it's like everything just came back to him all at once he almost forgot he forgot. Ash wanted them to remember to fulfill the promise of eating crab, apparently.
I feel like Ash would be better if they scaled back his flamboyance and made him similar to Micheal Jackson. I feel like they were going for that but decided to make him girly to make him stand out more than other main characters.

Easy, Shen, Duo lon remembered him… faintly but most importantly, Elizebeth remembered him _CLEARLY,_ causing some timeline mishaps which created Verse, which contains the soul of _alot of people_ but most importantly, _every participant of KOF that died_ in one way or another
