If you're still in Thailand on April 14, that means you will get to enjoy Songkran, the water festival, which is also celebrated by my people, the Tai Khamti tribe of Arunachal Pradesh, India and we call it Sangken. If you want to experience authentic Thai tradition, you should visit the Buddhist Temple on April 14. Anyways, great video. Always a pleasure to watch you and Michael talk about different places.

Was in Bangkok a month ago, and yes it has increased in price quite a bit. We stayed in a Airbnb, huge apartment for AUD$80 per night. Just hard to be secretive all the time because Airbnb is illegal. Went to Taiwan(amazing) and now in Vietnam waiting for burning season to finish to head to northern Thailand and Laos. Love Thailand, love Asia.

Tips for eating Thai food especially eating all kinds of rice. Use a spoon to eat; a fork is used for mixing and push food onto the spoon. This will not only prevent the rice from spilling back to the food plate but also helping you choose various ingredients of food to combine with rice each bite. Bon appétit!

Ok. Josie, I am going to help you sound more polite when you order anything. ขอ kaw is the way you say "may I please have..."
Kaw pad grapao mu saab neung jaan ka. Kaw milo yen neung gaeow ka. etc. (You will also see I put the "one" after the name of the thing I am ordering, and used the classifer for that item after the number.) But if you just add "kaw" before you order, it promise it will endear you even more to the people you interact with. Safe and happy travels!
Josie, there’s a nice Thai Toy Expo happening this week I think 4-7 April at Central World. If you are still in BK, it’s a good day out! Free entry and there are booths all round the shopping mall for the expo, and food ofcourse at Central World 😊Wish I was there

My most ad hoc travel was going into bangkok whikst on a layover for about 6 hours, checked out of the airport, got the 10 bhat train or something like that into the city, quick sightsee dinner shop and back into thw airport just in time to get on my connecting flight!!

Aroy mark mark. When I visited Southeast Asia, I ate with fork with only one hand. That's just the American soldier thing. But for the people there, they do with two hands. The spoon on the right and the fork on the left. They used the fork to help put food on the spoon to eat. And they never eat all of the food. A little food must be left on the plate. Don't ask why. They do it. However, there's no right or wrong nowaday.

That's true about the spoon and fork. Once you try it, it makes a lot of sense. There is a channel called Pailins Kitchen, where she describes Thai eating etiquette. I found it to be very helpful.
I like the salad bowls in subway here in the UK. But tbh, I don't eat there. I'd rather go to pub/cafe or restaurant.
