There is a guy on avsim who has posted a great Flybe repaint to the library for download. The purple - "Faster than road or rail" (G-PRPL) aircraft. He not only did he do the exterior, but also the VC. Looks fantastic.
I don't know what it is, but whenever I go back and fly with the Dash 8, it always brings a smile to my face.
You are correct about the brakes! Theyre typically only used during landing which is why they wear out quick if you use em during taxi. Braking during taxi is achieved through the prop pitch like you said.

And one more thing, might sound nothing or meaningless to a native English speaker, but as a foreigner I can't help but notice your clear, easy-to-understand English, and such. Excellent video! If you want to take the Q400 for another spin, might I suggest the Wideroe livery on a flight from Bergen Airport Flesland (ENBR) to Sogndal Airport Haukåsen (ENSG) in Norway. The approach to Sogndal has some spectacular scenery due to the fjords.
If you press the 'on' button on the FMC again, you can dim the displays so they are readable without having to pop them out with the HDR lighting :-)

That Majestic is beastly to fly solo i'm finding. Programs like FS2Crew or Multi Crew Experience make it so much more manageable. Good job handling that bird as well as you did solo, man. Another great video, too.
Nice flying, Matt. Would love to see an Alaska Air (Horizon) trip out of KSEA- possibly to Vancouver or Kelowna B.C... The new Sea-tac scenery is great. I've been enjoying the dash quite a bit lately.

Matt Davies at a weight of 23000kg, at what speeds do you deploy flaps 5, 10, 15 and 35? Should the Dash's nose be pointing down when using flaps 15 and 35?

I think you should still check the brakes at least once before take off.
And as far as I know the company prefers reverse thrust over extensive brake usage because its easier to add more fuel than it is to renew the brake disks!

Hi Matt, you are great at what you are doing and iI am not anywhere near your level but just a small, not very important piont - do you know that FlyBe usually taxies with only one engine working in their q400 and turn the second one on just before the takeoff.

UK2000 manchester doesn't work in P3D for me..I got an altitude error (buildings etc. flying in the sky..) How did you install the scenery?? Thx!
I fixed it! FTX Vector was the problem. You have to disable the Airport Elevation Correction for EGCC :)

Today I puchased the mjc dash 8 downlooad off just flight and i installed it onto my sim and when i pick it and click ok i get a message saying the sim has stopped working. Advice please?
The return of the infamous crash 8.
To move the props without a problem just hit shift+4 and then just move it within that window. That is more easy I do it that way.

This might be late...he was using the beta version of PRO before it was released. It's know released, training is still in production

just a thought to stop people asking you how to get there FSX looking like yours get an older PC with no FSX on it and from scratch install FSX and all the addons you use put it up on here and bam the Q is gone even if its a long video even upto hour people will still watch it every last second of it keep up the good work :)

A little tip. You moved those power ( or whatever they're called ) leavers to 900 RPM separatly, you can move both of them at the same time, just hold right mouse button. Well, this works in FSX, IDK about P3D.
He knows about that, he used it earlier in the taxi checklist, he said he was worried about messing it up or something since those levers are really fiddly by the looks of it.

with an Ansett New Zealand DHC-8 100
from AKL ( Auckland Intl Airport to PMR ( Palmerston North Internatonal Airport ) which these locations are in New Zealand .
Total flight time from Auckland to Palmerston North is about 1 Hour .
I live next to that reservoir at 28:38. This game is so detailed😂😂😂
