I have a VG3-540, beauty of a machine! I was instructed to never leave the rollers down when you’re not using it. That’s most likely your issue with the ripples developing the next day.
I have found with all the different machines I have had in 20 years, avoid leaving the pinch rollers down on the media. Also paper that is sensitive to moisture and temperature its best to leave the air conditioner on at room temperature as well, this will save cockling of the paper the next day or at least have the air con on 4 hours prior to printing so everything climatizes. I am enjoying my VG3 as well. :)
Great review! We are about to order this machine.

Never leave rollers down or vinyl loaded. That will cause headcrashes when selfcleaning.
Great review! ❤
Glad you liked it!! We appreciate it!
Ripples in the vinyl is humidity. Also, not good to leave rollers down overnight
