Also, that part of the game. The challenge is not only to defeat the Dragon (the Dictator), but also to find these aces and get them to work together and put aside their differences/ Like the Avengers.

00:00 to 00:43 is possibly my favorite part of the song. It sends chills through my body when I hear it. It feels like my body is echoing, like I can almost feel the boom of the supersonic fighters passing overhead. I'm filled with some sadness for an unknown reason, like I know that the fighter pilots are going to die... and I haven't even played Ace Combat 6...
This is the greatest Ace Combat medley I've heard as of yet... so epic! This is awesome!
Not to mention that, if you've played Ace Combat Zero, that Galm One disappeared without a trace, much like how the Razgriz vanished from the earth in mideval times, only to reappear in the form of Wardog in the events of Ace Combat 5.
This is a comment that really shows how I feel about Assault Horizon. Finally, someone who doesn't bash the game every chance they get. It's not even that bad, really.
The chorus in this song makes me feel like I could take on the world.

Even as an avid fan of both Falcon 4.0 and DCS:A-10C, I love the gameplay in Assault Horizon. They used what they had in the medium of a console game to capture different dimensions of fighter combat (you really do switch to different "modes"), and used visual/auditory cues to give a sense of the tremendous forces involved. You can't *feel* the Gs, so they *showed* you.
But next time please, please take us back to Strangereal: Ace Combat is ultimately a high fantasy epic with modern armies.

Ace Combat X on the PSP was really good, especially considering the limitations of the platform.

In addition, i was thinking that this idea for ace combat 7 would involve a second part of the razgriz Poem, which discovered during the course of the world war, tells the tale of the razgriz battling a dragon. The aces from the past would all fall under the razgriz squadron, with galm one/ möbius one being the demon lord (razgriz himself). And leader. The story would also include the storyteller boy and barkeeps daughter from ac4 as well as yellow 13.
I know that song (Liberation). I was referring to the "prelude" part that is playing until about 4 minutes into the video.

I want an HD remake of all the PS2 games, and AC6 for the nextgen consoles. Maybe even Japanese version of AC3.
i only played ace combat assault horizon for the realistic feel. it doesn't compare to others but it does give a pretty good approach to what it tried.

This was probably the last good AC, because Assault Horizon just doesn't have the same feel.
Edit: AC 7 was very good so AH hate has passed a bit.

As a PC/console title it was ehhhhh. As a 3DS title, it was actually good.

Assault horizon: Superhuman pilot, a plane that heals itself and enough ammo to fill an aircraft carrier to the brim sitting on/in just one plane.

I really want to get it. I played it at my friend's house and, well, let's just say in Gracemeria, all the buildings are actually existent. The graphics during gameplay are far better than 4, 5 and Zero. I just love flying through the explosion of a fighter I just jousted with two missiles. I must say though, I prefered the cutscene animation of 5 and Zero over that of 6. :/

I think it should include an excerpt from each campaign; a symbolic mission from each. That would show the Flashback of sorts; to show why the aces mean so much. (Megalith, SOLG, Avalon/Pixy/XBO, Whatever ACX has, Chandelier/Liberation of GM/ABF)
We are doing scarface then? Him along with the OTHER Nagase would be in their 50s or 60s... Age does not impede flying; unless it is extensive. Anything past 65 is an issue. I see; and that is a good plot! To unite them.

Actually in the special mission "The Gauntlet" in Zero, if you take down Espada in under 1 minute the Demon Lord fights and shoots down Mobius 1. :P

Wizard: Easy because they only come 2 at a time.
Sorcerer: Easy
Onfir/Grabacr: GTFO; easiest formation to kill ever. I mean ever.
Gault: Very hard.
Correction: Harder than facing Mobius in The Gauntlet, Pixy, Schwartze, Gault, and Wizard with all planes all at once.

I heard Ace Combat AH had a good plot and was realistic. I really wish they would revive the old world of Strangereal, though, those games were the best... 3, 4, 5, Zero, and I've heard 6 is as good as those as well. The last one in Strangereal was X... and that was the stinking PSP. It doesn't freaking count. Really, though, they have to bring back Strangereal if they want to keep the series going strong.
Well AH still had more missions than 6, so thats a plus. The plot. . .yeah I gotta agree.

No "stay below the cliffs to AVOID RADAR" missions because ain't nobody got time for dat.
This EMP could be like the one in Battlefield Bad Company 2, Hidden into a plane wich is protected by the use of the weapon :)
The weapon I had in mind would only have a limited range, similar to that of stonehenge. But It would be mobile. I like the idea of a hidden airbase, though. I intend to post the game mission by mission on fanfic . I will post on this video when the first mission is up.

Guys, I don't mean to be the downer here - this would be epic. But this is what they should use when they're ENDING the franchise. This is a grand finale. I think and hope that 7 won't be the last.
Well, you're lucky. The only AC games I've played are AH and 6. I wish i had a PS2 just so i could play the older games. That's why i hope Namco makes a HD version of 4, 5, and zero. If they did make a HD version, they could use the AH's graphics and the games would look amazing. Plus i would be able to play 'em. :)

In AC5 and ACZ; the F-22's XMAAs are about the same as AC4's QAAMs.
Yeah; cause I use the F-22 'Mobius' camo in both games.
Mobius One is Cipher: That was the main thing that jumped out at me during Zero.
How do we write in the fact that we can manage to find these pilots; who, after the wars; (Minus the Galm Pilots; One is enrolled in the Delarus AF and the other is in the ISAF volunteer army) completely vanished.
Why does Mobius One/Ciper get to be the leader? Why not Blaze; he's already a commander?

I like the idea if the wars weren't set in different time periods. thus the pilots would all be different ages and have different flying styles. And plus who would you put in charge of this squadron? tough decision however that's a good idea I like it

+21specter The only thing I'd really want in terms of building on AC6 would be better graphics, some tweaking to the handling of certain jets (the F-16 feels too lethargic), and a better story.

@@xx4u2fearxx89 Eh, it could have been better... the in-game story, the one following Talisman and Shamrock was okay, but I could have done without the blonde woman, her voice acting was terrible and the animations were stiff and kinda lazy.
AC 5 and Zero had much better stories, even AC4 was much better, even though it lacked an actual plot of any kind, it was still emotional and very well written.
Lol, AC6 was not worthy of bearing the Ace Combat name. Luckily we have AC7 now that more than makes up for what 6 failed to be
Short question: Did you ever played Assault Horizon on Ace? On Ace its a lot harder, especially the mission where you're supposed to protect moscow feels like a eternity and plays harder than flying against Yellow Squadron, Wizard, Gault, Sorcerer, Ofnir and Grabacr togehter, trust me. :D
and in the north of estovakia is the razgriz straights, where the demons of razgriz were born :)

a more practicle ace combat 7 game would be to have a globle war between osea, yuktobania, and usea(ISAF). The game would be split into 3 diffrent campains for each of the diffrent countries. Oseas campain would be about a ace squadrion fighting threw the way that is slowly reveiled to be the ghosts of razgriz. ISAFs campain would be about mobius 1 trying to defend usea from both of the two super powers. And yuktobnias campain would be a grudge match between scarface squadrion and the demon lord

The 7th ace combat game should be about a dictator who develops an EMP weapon that can ground aircraft, and using this weapon, he unites Belka, Eursea, Estovakia, and Leseath under his rule and starts a world war. In repsonse, the ISAF and Osea should form an alliance with Emmeria, Ustio, Aurelia, and Yutobania, whom then call upon all of the aces of the past (mobius 1, Galm 1, Wardog squadron, the southern Cross, and the Garauda team) to stop the dictator. And It should be 60 missions long.

Thing is, assault horizon wasn't even very realistic considering that some pilots could pull high G turns at mach 7. It is kinda fun though sometimes.
Fans of combat simulators forget that we have a2a missiles that can hit targets 20 miles away with near perfect accuracy. But take real living and dying out of real life and it gets boring. So we have to spruce up our games with things like close range dogfighting (like in WW2 before we have homing rockets).
I'm gonna say this. While the games aren't very realistic, that isn't what you play it for. Ace Combat is like Amnesia: The Dark Descent in this sense (they are otherwise completely different, while both are incredible games/series): You don't play either of them to win. If you ignore storyline, both are just boring and repetitive. You play them to immerse yourself in the world and storyline. That is where the greatness of the games comes from. That's why you never see your character's face.

The Mig-31: Handles like it's got a bowling pin up it's ass; one on one it is very easy, but if you're not aloof and moving around, you will get the entire formation of about 9 guys behind you, as you fire at one; and they will kill you.

That's the main difficulty for me in The Gauntlet.
AC5 tried to have "Aces"; and they put in the 2 Belkan squads. They were ridiculously easy; I don't think I've ever been killed by them.

With the exception of AH. :/ In other words, it feels like you, because that's how you'd imagine it if you immerse yourself in the gameplay. You don't know what the character looks like or sounds like, and since you are immersed completely in his position, you feel like it IS you.
