My insomnia has gotten really bad recently because of anxiety and I found that ASMR videos help but it still takes about 3 hours of them before I seem to fall asleep. Like, I get how mouth sounds or tapping or any other sound triggers make me go to sleep because it sound soothing but how does hand movements do it? Hi Sarah! Just for future medical roleplays, I wanted to give you some tips (I'm an EMT student) When we use the stethoscope, we are normally listening for lung sounds to see if they are clear and equal with no abnormalities. We don't normally listen for heart rate because that is easily assessed from the radial pulse (on the wrist) and counted for 30 seconds, then multiplied by 2. Let me know if you have any medical questions for roleplays! :)

This is still one of my favorite ASMR videos I’ve ever seen, and it was one of the first I ever found that really worked on me. This was long before you got your binaural mic, but it still gets to me! I loved (and still love) the tongue clicking, the “shoop” noises, etc - no one else was doing anything like that in the early videos I found and I loved it so much. The very particular way you were talking and repeating yourself felt so alien and strange but it had such an effect on me! That’s why I keep ending up back here after all this time. WHY ARE HAND MOVEMENTS SO RELAXING AND PUT ME TO SLEEP?! Like, I get how mouth sounds or tapping or any other sound triggers make me go to sleep because it sound soothing but how does hand movements do it? Like, you can’t hear it, (besides when they make finger noises) and all you do is look at it. BUT FOR SOME REASON I FALL ASLEEP LOL HOW?
theskyisfallinq I’m not really sure but it’s something like when you see calming hand gestures it calms your mind and gives you a feeling of safety and allows you to easily fall asleep

Hi Sarah! Just for future medical roleplays, I wanted to give you some tips (I'm an EMT student) When we use the stethoscope, we are normally listening for lung sounds to see if they are clear and equal with no abnormalities. We don't normally listen for heart rate because that is easily assessed from the radial pulse (on the wrist) and counted for 30 seconds, then multiplied by 2. Let me know if you have any medical questions for roleplays! :)

This is still one of my favorite ASMR videos I’ve ever seen, and it was one of the first I ever found that really worked on me. This was long before you got your binaural mic, but it still gets to me! I loved (and still love) the tongue clicking, the “shoop” noises, etc - no one else was doing anything like that in the early videos I found and I loved it so much. The very particular way you were talking and repeating yourself felt so alien and strange but it had such an effect on me! That’s why I keep ending up back here after all this time. Would love a part 2 to this video with the binaural mic now! ❤️ Thanks for everything you do
