Hi thanks for the comment, I had to go back and watch the video as it was so long ago that I made this! In the video I do say its what I do and not a recommendation, in the past I have used the torque settings and stripped threads on the filters so its my own personal choice. I never had any issues and probably did about 10 oil changes on the bike myself. I totally get what your saying though but this is just from my own personal experience. Thanks
According to the workshop manual to do a dry refill it's 5.2 litres.
Yes that's fully drained with everything from oil cooler in my experience 5 is enough
The oil filter has the nut on, so why not torque it to the recommended setting??

Might seem daft but could you do a video on how to remove and refit the rear wheel? I'm new to the world of motorbikes
If I get time mate that's a good shout
Hi, great info! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.👌✌
I always drain oil from oil cooler - disable one of pipes near oil filter - about 150 ml of oil. 👌
I know that's a thing, but I have never done that. Good tip maybe will do that next time
Can i get pic from this part(draining)? Ta
Hello fellow gsx1400 rider, just subscribed 😀
Thanks
Good video.
I do not understand how that drain valve works however?
Hi thanks for the comment , it's basically replaces the drain plug altogether. It's a tap the lever just allows you to to open and close it easily
@@tomstc I'll figure it out, bought a mint 2002 a few days ago, love it 🤟
@@SupraTompan ah awesome great bikes do everything so well
Why semi synthetic and why not a fully synthetic oil mate?
Because that is the type that is recommended, works well in these oil cooled motors
How many km do you think the Suzuki gsx can do before the head may need redoing thanks
All depends on the rider and how well maintained the bike is, but I have seen some with 150k on the clock
How do I change my oil cooled radiator
On the GSX1400? To fully drain you need to disconnect the hoses connected to the radiator
