    Nice review :) I was thinking of buying this Tronsmart 40W speaker but I am in between this and ANKER Soundcore Boost 20W. Could u tell me which one of this 2 have better bass? I don't listen to my music loud - but I like to hear the bass even when the volume is low. By looking at the "Watt" I guess Trosnmart is more powerfull than ANKER? 40W vs 20W. Correct me if I am wrong. Thank You.

      IIRC the Tronsmart is louder and has decent bass (but it's a while since I listened to them side by side!). If you don't need the extra volume I'd probably go for the Anker.

    Foreword: your review is amazing, subbed to you buddy!
    Wearing M50x headphones
    I've been studying audio mastering and sound production for most of my life and have I'd like to think a good ear, but everything is subjective.....so feel free to disagree with me. Everyone has a different taste in audio preference, some prefer more bass, some prefer more warm, some prefer more clear, some brighter, to me choosing speakers is a personal choice, it's what YOU like personally but there are some guidance notes I can put here.
    Tronsmart Force 40W - I hear more sides on the at first - hi hats (upper frequencies) sound like they have phase issues? punchy bass, not as much below 80/100hz though but that makes sense, the speakers are not 12" and we have to be realistic.
    TRIBIT - I hear more definition in the MID rather than the SIDE (M/S Ratio) (seems less wide stereo image and I actually prefer on the 2nd M/S positioning as it sounds more realistic but keep in mind the reference track you are using I don't know how the original track was mastered. 2nd speaker also sounds like a slight raised 500hz to 800hz roughly? lower mids, more depth on the vox.
    ANKER - has a serious droppage of high frequencies, they are just less harsh, everyone has different hearing preferences so some may consider this warmer.
    JBL - the first thing you`ll notice is the saw-wave synth has a lot more noise happening, the EQ curve seems changed dramatically from the previous example, I'd need to run the audio file through audio scopes activating peak hold I have here to show a visual representation of the dramatic change.

    I noticed you mentioned STEREO-PAIRING - does that mean this speaker is NOT stereo? it has two speakers? I take it one is for bass and other for mid/highs? or are they both just for omni-directional sound?

    • @TheTechnologyMan
      @TheTechnologyMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The speaker has two 20W full range drivers and passive radiators for bass. The dual drivers would still give stereo with one speaker but very little spatial separation. They are forward facing directional speakers.

I also have an Anker Soundcore 2 which is an excellent speaker in its own right but nowhere near as good as the Tronsmart. Both of the Tronsmart speakers, when operating in stereo mode, compare favourably with the Sonos Symphonisk that I have installed in another room in the house. At about half the price of the Soundcore Boost you won’t go wrong with the Tronsmart, albeit they do feel a little bulky.

    Hi. Great reviews. I have a flip 4 great sound better than charge 3 or 4 even. Sadly I use the aux port and it is a known problem that when quiet passages play or there is a few seconds of silence the sound cuts out and you miss the beginning when sound is back even if the device volume is at 100%. Really annoying to a lot of people. Do you have suggestions for another speaker that sounds as good as the flip4? well, I didn't think it would be so difficult! here in Australia, I can but Tronsmart Force for $80 AUD from Amazon, However, Tribit Max sound plus is $203 ! more than double the plus! and Anker MotionPlus is not even available, so my question would be, do I buy the Tronsmart? or wait for the Anker to become available with the risk of a higher price? or is Tribit worth the price tag here? or any other options I should consider?

    • @TheTechnologyMan

      The Motion+ is is a different class - here in the UK at least - it's double the price and much bigger. The Tribit is not worth 2.5 times the price! The sound demonstrations are really meant as a comparison between the different speakers. You should be able to at least some differences between them. It helps listening with decent over ear headphones. But it's never going to be the same as listening to the speaker in real life. I still think a lot of people find it helpful, together with my overall impression of the speakers after listening to it myself for hours on end - and having many speakers to compare it to.

You don't seem to understand that any sound , being played through a speaker, will only sound ,the way the speaker it's being played on does.. there is absolutely no way to portray a speakers quality,, by playing it on another speaker, this is the best example of an exercise in futility I have ever seen. Sorry but overhead earphones mean nothing in this example. You just don't get it !!!! There may be a noticeable change in the sound, on the device that that watches and listens to your video, but it is absolutely removed from any example of what the speaker you're using does...
