Tribit Maxsound Plus Ftw, a bang for the buck bluetooth speaker! Anker soundcore motion+ is larger than maxsound so it's no surprise, they're in different category. Love the way maxsound plus' sound quality is produced considering its size very portable and feels solid.. 👍👍👍
Just picked up a MaxSound plus off Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to see a USB C cable and port, Bluetooth 5 and ability to pair with another MaxSound in stereo mode. Also the X bass button has three modes... Off, X bass on and audiobook. The sound quality is super rich and with the changes seen above, makes it one of the best speakers in this segment and maybe a couple of segments higher too.
Hi Leslie, how did the microphone turnout? I couldn't judge its quality from this video. I wanted to buy this for my work calls. Wanted to know if the audio is clear on both the ends. Thanks in advance
I have never commented on this or any other page, but I wanted reviewers to know this is an excellent product for the price! The sound is rich and on Max Bass it sounds almost as good as my house stereo. I bought one for testing and now purchasing 2 more for the teens
Thank you for this indepth, and honest review. You addressed all the questions I had, that can't really be answered in a "written" review. You certainly made my mind up on purchasing this speaker. This will be my first Tribit product purchase.
I have a Maxsound Plus and have been very happy with it. Sound quality compares favourably to significantly more expensive speakers that I've heard. It seems sturdily made and has prove reliable. The one feature I wish it had is the ability to pair with other speakers - either for stereo or augmentation.
I'm certainly glad that I watched your review before purchasing another speaker. I really like the quality vs price of the tribute brand (especially the maxsound). It's a great value for the sound provided
for the price and size the maxsound plus is awesome. i bought 5 of them. 1 for myself and 4 for friends and family. they all love it. the sound is very neutral and pleasing for all kinds of music and they all sounded exactly the same so unit variation must be really good. batterylife is plenty aswell.
This updated product in 2022 has got Bluetooth 5.0, TWS pairing simultaneously to same product. This product is definitely value for money 😍…just bought it🤩…loving my Tribit MaxSound Plus
Thank you for your review. Sound quality was the biggy for me. I wanted something portable that would enable a Covid High-Risk student to connect with an on-campus classroom, which has socially distanced work stations. When I saw how small it was I thought,' Oh no!' but it fills a large room with plenty of sound for our purposes. And I've used it with Spotify for my favourite classical music and it handled it very well. No, the sound isn't as good as the twice-the-price option, but it's a heck-of-a-lot better than half as good. And it's smaller/lighter. The only negative is that the box didn't contain the charging cables, which was disappointing.
I think the Tribit is the best sounding speaker of all of them. It blends a nice deep bass (need X Bass on) with clear mids and crisp treble. I just received one today and literally everything sounds great on it! I also love it's design but it could have done with a graduated battery meter on it rather then just going red at 15%. But here is the great feature no reviewer has ever mentioned about it... it is designed so it tilts upwards! Just gently push it backwards and it sits securely aiming upwards towards you so you have a choice if it being flat or tilted and this and it is exactly what I was looking for so when it is on my desk I can hear it far better tilted then if it was just sitting flat. Great design idea! Totally recommend this speaker unless you want really mega bass and then I would recommend the boost. However the boost does lack clarity in the mids and treble which is why I returned it. Great review as well and very helpful!
Excellent review, appreciate the sound tests. Agree with your assessments on this! Many thanks for your thorough and professional review which has helped my purchase decision.
I own many bluetooth speakers including xb30 xb41 lg pk5 and jbl boombox. But i must admit this is the sweetest sounding speaker. By the way your review was really great as usual
excellent review, if you had to choose between the tribit and the trosnsmart force which would it be? I want the one that is heard loudest without distortion. to use in the car I have the anker 2 it sounds too low which of the ones I said do you recommend?
I've read awesome reviews about this speaker, but also a lot of comments of people saying it stopped charging after some weeks from the purchase. Could a long term user validate this, please?
I compared to tronsmart element force... tronsmart is very popular and i don't know why, more power and that's all: distortion (on every volume lvl and eq settings), boxy bass, tight stage. Tribit has "less" power but clean, deep bass and nice stage for this size ! (much more 3d than 3d eq option in Force)
Great review on a great little speaker! Amazing how flat the frequency response is WITH the Xbass on! I can't help but think that if it had the ability to pair with other Tribit speakers, that it would be an unstoppable BT speaker I own, as in hands down BEST.
In terms of sound quality, how does Onyx Mini compare to the Tribit Maxsound Plus? Price of both speakers currently selling in my country. Do you think that Onyx mini is worth the extra 24$ USD? Onyx Mini - 79.5$ USD Tribit Maxsound Plus - 55.5$ USD

Hi - always hard to answer that question. One of the speakers I use the most I haven't actually reviewed yet - the Minirig 3. But more reviews coming in the new year!
I made a mistake getting the maxsound for gaming..its basically just bass and gaming requires detail, atmosphere sounds etc, Im getting the motion plus it has built in custom Eq that will work on anything as its saved on board memory.
Do you heard anker soundcore flare 2? How it is compared to tribit i mean about sound? I'm choosing between them two and im not sure which one to pick. Very professional compare! Regards
Hi, I just bought tribit Maxsound plus (upgraded).. it works well yesterday with both Bluetooth and aux connection. But now when paired with Bluetooth it sounds muffled and terrible 😢 What should I do? It sounds okay with aux connection
Have you tried the microphone for zoom calls and stuff? I am looking to buy one multipurpose speaker and this is the only one I thought was of good quality for zoom call purpose. Please let me know if there are better ones than this.
If you take a look at my Boost video - I compare it the the Flip 4. By all accounts the Flip 5 doesn't sound quite as good but not tested it yet. Still might help with your decision. th-cam.com/video/PSd3LCJiBOI/w-d-xo.html
Awesome and very informative video! I have one question though: How's the wired AUX latency? Would I be able to play a videogame or watch a movie without audio getting out of sync?
The most professional review I've have seen. Well done. However In Italy too they costs different, but If tribit max sound plus and JBL flip 5 would cost the same price. in terms of build quality, durability, sound quality and other factors, which one would you buy? I'm really undecided between the two models. Thanks again
Thank you so much Mr. Gidon Reid for this unbiased review! Only based on balance, clarity and flat(close to hi fi) sound on default mode our of the box, which is better Tribit maxsound plus or Anker soundcore motion plus?
Great video!! Can you please suggest me 1 out of the below 3 speakers? (Audio clarity is top priority and not heavy bass) 1. UE Wonderboom 2. Tribit max sound plus 3. Sony srs xb 12 Thanks for the help!
Tribit is okay but I'm glad I bought the Anker Motion+ sound quality wise. Although it still has issues with loosing the custom EQ settings once in awhile. I've lost settings twice in the few weeks I've owned it. I'm on the latest firmware but they still have issues to work out there! Looking forward to the next firmware update!
I have a Soundcore Boost, I think it's a very decent speaker without it's bass boost. Bass is a bit JBL Charge 4 like (peak around 70 to 80hz). Mids gave a good presence and highs are decent. With bass boost it doesn't sound that great with most songs though. Too much bass, it lacks highs and upper bass (it also lacks upper bass without bass boost, but since the sound is flatter it's harder to notice). Overall a good speaker, decent volume and battery life. But I would put the extra €/$25 for a Motion + any day in the week.
Okk sir that was very good review...but pls clearly tell me that... which one will win in the battle of only SOUND section.. between Tribit maxsound+ ans Anker soundcore 2...I mean that Clear Sweet sound..with a punchy bass... which one?
This is very much a smaller version of Motion+, less bass extension but considerably more high extension. I don't have it yet but it could be one of my Christmas presents :)
Great review, it was very professional. Can you help me decide which speaker is the best option for me? Jbl flip 5 or Tribit max sound plus? Is the sound quite similar? thanks
Thank you Renzo Rizza! They are both good speakers - and they sound pretty similar too. Here in the UK, the Flip is more expensive - which makes the Tribit great value. I'd choose on price, aesthetics and features that are important to you.
@@TheTechnologyManIn Italy too they costs different, but If tribit max sound plus and JBL flip 5 would cost the same price. in terms of build quality, durability, sound quality and other factors, which one would you buy? I'm really undecided between the two models. Thanks again
if you love bass, buy t6 plus. I like this flat (like a hifi) sound from tribit. If bigger like charge4, after this all comparison on youtube i think anker motion plus is more interesting (next on my "wish" list to buy)
Neither speaker is great if you want lots of bass - but the Tribit is perhaps marginally better. Maybe also check out the Tronsmart Force I just reviewed - that may be a better bet.
Depends on where you use the speaker and what kind of speaker you prefer. Stormbox has 360° sound, pairing feature and more bass while maxsoundplus has more clearity.
@@TheTechnologyMan Actually, The Price Difference between JBL Flip 3 SE and Tribit MaxSound Plus is very Small ($5). So do you think I Should Rather go for JBL ? (Only Taking Sound Quality Into Consideration)
@@SagarBagkar hey man, how was your experience? I've read several reviews of ppl complaining that their tribit maxsound stopped charging after some weeks
Tribit make EXCELLENT speakers without exception and to add to that, they are rugged and unbelievable value for money. Their latest offering, the Stormbox Mini, is a feat, up there with the best... Better than the Bose Soundlink Mini which is much more expensive. To better any of Tribit's speakers, you'd have to spend 2 - 3 times as much, if not 4 times! Their products are not just great, they are amazing!! ANY Tribit speaker...
@@TheTechnologyMan And if one needs a larger speaker that's portable enough, the Soundcore Motion + is in a class by itself... UNTIL Tribit come out with a 45W monster! Which could be next but will take a while as everyone needs China for drivers and electronics which is a Catch 22! I have a DOSS Soundbox XL which is not portable but on my bedside table. That one sounds amazing too... for $70 in the US! I paid $160 for it here... Keep the great reviews coming. I would love to hear the Sony XB43 vs the JBL Xtreme 3. Or the Sony XB23, vs the Flip 4 or 5 and the Tribit Stormbox! 👍🏽😊
Thanks - if you want hear other songs - I use a different song in every video. So check out another video where the Tribit is included in the sound test. Hope that helps.
Ah I see. The speakers are 12W - I'm not sure about the mAh but Tribit are quite responsive - you could email them to find out? Sorry I can't take this apart - I only have one and like to use it compare to other speakers ...
If you listen with headphones just choose the one you prefer. Or choose based on features - they are both pretty similar. The Tribit is cheaper so if it sounds ok to you and has the features you want I'd go for it!
I'm most interested in sound quality to be used in a small room as a TV speaker & laptop. Ease of using both at the same time would be meaningful. Knowing that... Which do you favor: Anker Soundcore Boost or Tribit MaxSound Plus. They are so close to the same price on Amazon (right now) Also, can the Anker Soundcore Boost be dual paired for stereo?
Thanks oldfool666! I'd imagine it'd be ok - but definitely not ideal - it's a small speaker with little spatial seperation. It will really depend on how bad your TV's speakers are as to whether it's worth it.
@@TheTechnologyMan I was thinking about getting the Tribit, I have a Flip 4 AN but I can't find many reviews about this version, it seems to be the lastest one with a better sound, I suppose I will keep it for now... Thanks again!
@@TheTechnologyMan There're slight differences, for example, the GG version has plastic drivers, Tl and AN are of some kind of cardboard, maybe another parts could also be replaced internally affecting the sound quality, according to some comments AN sounds better overall but there's a little information on this. Also I have seen another review between MaxSound Plus and Flip 4 where this latter doesn't go well but it seems to be a GG version. The lastest firmware for Flip 4 apparently doesn't work the same for all devices, depending on the model it can improve or worsen the sound, I still keep the 3.2 v, I will try to investigate more about this...

I've lost settings twice in the few weeks I've owned it. I'm on the latest firmware but they still have issues to work out there! Looking forward to the next firmware update!
The Motion+ is twice the price in the UK and bigger - but it is a good speaker. I do hope they keep developing the app and firmware ...
They fixed the Motion Plus's firmware now.
Tribit maxsound plus or Anker soundcore boost for best sound quality?
I slightly prefer the Tribit for general listening - it has more clarity. But the Boost has more bass and a charging port.
Okk sir that was very good review...but pls clearly tell me that... which one will win in the battle of only SOUND section.. between Tribit maxsound+ ans Anker soundcore 2...I mean that Clear Sweet sound..with a punchy bass... which one?
Thank you sudipta biswas! Between the Tribit and Anker it'd be the Tribit.
How much rating do you give to this speaker.
Check out the conclusions of the video. It's a good sounding compact speaker.
Maxsound vs stormbox vs flare2? Which one?
Sorry I've not tested the Flare ...
@@TheTechnologyMan if you can get your hands on them please compare. Thanks hehe
Can you make a round up? By price point or features etc
Good suggestion - thanks. I'll see what I can do ... I do have reviews of the other speakers in the mean time.
What is the battery backup of tribit maxsound plus on full volume?
I got around 10 hours of real use at close to maximum volume, as I mention in the review.
@@TheTechnologyMan lots of people said if you turned on xbass mode .it will give 3-4 hour battery backup . Don't know what is right and what is wrong
I get longer than that with xbass on ...
Great review!
Thank you Al Thompson!
This is very much a smaller version of Motion+, less bass extension but considerably more high extension. I don't have it yet but it could be one of my Christmas presents :)
Nice one!
For the same price I'd probably go for the Flip - I slightly prefer its design and its usability.
As i am a base head , shall i go for JBL FLIP 4 OR TRIBIT MAX SOUND PLUS ????????
if you love bass, buy t6 plus.
This one vs Tribit StormBox which one is good??
stormbox sounds muffled. Maxsound plus is far better
Depends on where you use the speaker and what kind of speaker you prefer. Stormbox has 360° sound, pairing feature and more bass while maxsoundplus has more clearity.
I should have a comparison of these two soon ...
Which will be better tribit maxsound plus or jbl flip 5 according to loudness and bass quality.
I've not tested the Flip 5 sorry. But it's very similar to the Flip 4 ...
Flip 3 se vs maxsoundplus.. which have better bass and over all sound quality????
Sorry I've not tested the Flip 3 - but you can hear a comparison against the Flip 4 in this video.
Hi sir, I will get this Tribed MaxSond Pulls Speaker, even if only the new Old Milage is available
Give me some ideas
Sorry I don't know what speaker you're referring to.
@@TheTechnologyMan Give me Tribit MaxSond Puls Bluetooth Speaker Old or New Price
If I buy 2 can I have both connect at the some time?
Not with this speaker ...
The Technology Man thanks
If I'm getting JBL Flip 3 SE for $61
And Tribit MaxSound Plus For $56
And The Sony SRS XB12 For $46
Which one should I get?
If you don't need the additional "features" of the other speakers, the Tribit does sound good for the price ...
@@TheTechnologyMan Thanks for replying!
I think I will go for tribit considering it's sound quality which is quite close to Jbl flip 3/4.
@@TheTechnologyMan Actually, The Price Difference between JBL Flip 3 SE and Tribit MaxSound Plus is very Small ($5).
So do you think I Should Rather go for JBL ? (Only Taking Sound Quality Into Consideration)
Straight answer plz..
TRIBIT MAX SOUND PLUS OR ANKER MOTION PLUS..in terms of Sound Quality...
price doesn't matter...
Please reply plan to buy one..
I'd go for the Motion+ - but the Tribit has slightly better clarity if that's more important to you.
@@TheTechnologyMan thank you so much sir.. i hv ordered TRIBIT MAXSOUND PLUS..
@@SagarBagkar hey man, how was your experience? I've read several reviews of ppl complaining that their tribit maxsound stopped charging after some weeks
@@marcolujan2457 its awesome dude..
crystal clear sound, balanced bass.
fully satisfied with audio quality.
Battery backup is also good.
amazing review !!!!!!!!!! very good job
Thanks so much Ikram Asbaai!
I own a dindin brand of speakers. To be honest it's really good. I've had it for a year so far, and I use it at every party!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Your review was rad thanks
Thank you Branden Edwards!
Wow man.. great review..
Thank you Kartikay bhardwaj!
Yes they have some good value speakers. I reviewed the Micro too and was quite impressed with it.
@@TheTechnologyMan Little monster isn't it! 😊
And now the JBL Charge 5 with BT 5 !
Thanks - if you want hear other songs - I use a different song in every video. So check out another video where the Tribit is included in the sound test. Hope that helps.
What a fantastic job you have done here. Really useful and to the point. Subscribed with thanks.
Thank you Jambeetle - and for the support!
Please teardown the tribit max sound plus
What is it you want to find out?
I want to see the wattage of the speaker the mah of the battery and it's kit board
Ah I see. The speakers are 12W - I'm not sure about the mAh but Tribit are quite responsive - you could email them to find out? Sorry I can't take this apart - I only have one and like to use it compare to other speakers ...
Can you refer me which one I will buy jbl flip 4 or tribit max sound plus
If you listen with headphones just choose the one you prefer. Or choose based on features - they are both pretty similar. The Tribit is cheaper so if it sounds ok to you and has the features you want I'd go for it!
Which has better bass jbl flip 3 or Tribit maxsound plus ?
They are too close to call! Both very similar for bass ...
Song name please...
Lvly - Head Under Water.
@@TheTechnologyMan thanks 👍
JBL is the winner and it's clearly loud and have more bass, but according to price Tribit is good.
The Tribit does still hold its own for the price!
I'm most interested in sound quality to be used in a small room as a TV speaker & laptop. Ease of using both at the same time would be meaningful. Knowing that...
Which do you favor: Anker Soundcore Boost or Tribit MaxSound Plus. They are so close to the same price on Amazon (right now)
Also, can the Anker Soundcore Boost be dual paired for stereo?
You can't pair the Boost. Tribit has better clarity, Boost has slightly better bass. So it depends what you favour.
If you have a relatively small living room, how is this speaker for watching movies or television in general? Thanks for the review!
Thanks oldfool666! I'd imagine it'd be ok - but definitely not ideal - it's a small speaker with little spatial seperation. It will really depend on how bad your TV's speakers are as to whether it's worth it.
awesome review
Thank you Abe Tuna!
Full Charged My Max Sound Plus But Percentage Shown As 90 Why Guys Any One Tell Me...
Have you checked with another device? Can you leave it charging overnight? I'd contact Tribit support if you're still having issues.
That's a deal breaker. You connect two of these?
Unfortunately not.
Anyone facing connectivity issue? If i move just 20 metres the audio is distorting
How about outside - maybe some interference indoors?
@@TheTechnologyMan will check and let you know.. Thanks for the reply
,unfortunately, only available in Amazon, not in our region
That's a shame - you could try contacting Tribit and see what they suggest?
Anker sound core motion plus has good quality sound after that tribit
Both good sounding speakers - the Motion+ is better but twice the price and bigger!
Motion plus. 😍
There's a good reason it's a very popular speaker!
Are there so much difference in quality between JBL and Tribit?
Wich version Flip is (SN): GG,TL or AN?
Thanks for the review!
No probs. No they are pretty close. It's the TL version.
@@TheTechnologyMan I was thinking about getting the Tribit, I have a Flip 4 AN but I can't find many reviews about this version, it seems to be the lastest one with a better sound, I suppose I will keep it for now...
Thanks again!
I can't imagine there's much difference - I'm not aware of any differences at least.
The lastest firmware for Flip 4 apparently doesn't work the same for all devices, depending on the model it can improve or worsen the sound, I still keep the 3.2 v, I will try to investigate more about this...
sorry, your ending music more bassy than all the speaker test..
I have other videos featuring this speaker with different music.
You started video on the point without any useless speech, ok but some intro looks good.
Not sure I understand you comment - sorry. Are you saying you want a flashy intro 😃?
I need you to Suggest me a perfect Bluetooth speaker below Rs:10k plz and no one should point y
Depends on too many factors but this is a nice speaker for the price. Or take a look at my other speaker reviews.
