So, I just wanted to say thanks for making these videos or my grandma would suffer, because she has talking problems, she wants to say the word but she can’t and has OCD. She says the word repeatedly until it’s perfect. So, my grandma does know how to pray.

My dear brother your praying Magrib not Witr. not supposed to sit in 2nd rakkah. '' prophet (PBUH) said witr should not be like magrrib. so we have to sit 3rd rakkah only.. allah knows best.
Imaam Abu Hanifa ruled that the Hadith prohibiting Witr resemble Maghrib means; in the third Rakaat of Maghrib only Surah Faatiha is recited, so Witr should not be like that. Together with Surah Faatiha, one should recite a Surah, make Takbeer and recite Qunoot also. If Witr is read in Jamaat, then its third Rakaat should not resemble the third Rakaat of Maghrib Salaat. In Maghrib, the Qiraat is recited softly, and in Witr it is audible.

Yes, but in the third Takah you just say Syrah fathiha and then shedthah and then say regular things to end the namaz, my family was taught to pray from this way.

TheDarkRaptor is correct. It was proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed Witr in different ways. He prayed one rak’ah, and three, and five, and seven, and nine. And he prayed three rak’ahs in two different ways, either continuously with one tashahhud, or saying salaam after two rak’ahs and praying one rak’ah and saying salaam after it. He did not pray it like Maghrib, with two tashahhuds and one salaam. Rather he forbade doing that, and said: “Do not pray Witr with three rak’ahs like Maghrib.” Narrated by al-Haakim, 1/403; al-Bayhaqi, 3/31; al-Daaraqutni, p. 172. Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in Fath al-Baari (4/301): Its isnaad fulfils the conditions of the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhaari and Muslim).

I rae that your not supposed to pray witr like magrib, but you can continuously do all three without stopping, then someone said your supposed to do two and then third alone, may Allah help me find the answer because I am sincerely confused. I rae that your not supposed to pray witr like magrib, but you can continuously do all three without stopping, then someone said your supposed to do two and then third alone, may Allah help me find the answer because I am sincerely confused. The other video had the man do the same thing but said surat il iklas after the fatiha for all three rukats. But I know for sure this man is right with the surahs, al khafiroon, al ihklas, and surah al nasaai.
