PSA: Food cans, are lined with plastic. The plastic is specified to tolerate boiling water without chemical deformation, but on a fire, they may break down and become something else. Use a pan of boiling seawater beneath.
Please be aware that tin cans usually have a plastic liner on the inside, which can leech into your food, if you heat it up. Thanks for the many beautiful and helpful videos!
That maneuver where you get towed behind the boat with mask and snorkel is called "Shark Bait" or "Yummy Shark Bait". 😀. Lots of fun but I always feel, well, like shark bait. It’s sometimes possible when running aground to get yourself off by shifting weight to one side of the boat. You’d probably need more people but occasionally it works if you can free the keel. You’re looking more the sailor with every episode.
Chef Boyardee, swim call, questionable charts prior to port? I thought you left the Navy! Glad you're having fun and bringing some levity to your subscribers! Great video as always.
That water was amazing. It's crazy to think that the camera doesn't even really capture it. We're supposed to get snow that can be measured in feet tomorrow and through the weekend, so this video was a real gift. Thanks. Hope you're enjoying life where ever you are.
Nice visual nav. When camping in the mountains, desert, etc, I just eat from a cold can. And after I did it a couple times, I got used to it. Cold Campbell's chili mac with Ritz crackers in it is actually decent.
I agree with SA below. Can’t wait to be there too. Absolutely stunning! That is what dreams are made of... to be realised!!! Life is too short to be ignored. Fantastic video Josh. Awesome!!!!
Incredible blue waters and amazing sunset. Night life did seem disappointing compared to "back in the day", but certainly better than nowadays. Will get a conch shell 🐚 for our next sail!!
Man, THAT is what it’s about!! Thank you Josh for bringing us along for the ride and providing (needed) encouragement to to get out there and make it happen!
Just spectacular Josh!!! I truly can't get enough of your amazing edited videos! You cover those raw moments that adds to the reality of sailing! I'm up on the East Coast of Nova Scotia! Its called Canada's ocean playground. Josh, the day I finally get a sailboat and they reopen the borders I hope you can come visit with Stephanie!!
Thanks Josh for the insight! This year I want to go to my first sailing adventure and have a look if I get seasick ;) maybe to start out in Mallorca or somewhere else in Europe (depending on the current situation). I really excited! Greets from Germany and stay safe!
Another fantastic post Josh! I didn’t want you to ground but was curious about people’s methods for getting unstuck-aside from waiting for tide to rise. I’m assuming backing up is the only option?
Thanks. I have grounded in a similar situation in sand. I had to throw it in reverse and rev the throttle. That worked, but I suppose if it were more stuck I’d have to wait for high tide. 🌊
10:20 that's a desk top background right there, How often are you paying for stuff? e.g are you spending around $1000 a month or more like $4000?.....or even more?
Another video making me think "one day I shall be there!". Thanks!
one day, well be there!
@@Gardureth Indeed! We'll all be there one day. Let's just hope not at the same time (all 60 thousand followers of Josh)
Ditto
That water is incredible, even without the megayacht floodlights 😉

Thanks Robert! I will look up that part of Nova Scotia. Sounds cool.
Sağolun!
Zevkle!
Thanks for sharing, another good video. I can’t wait to sail to these same places!!
Snowing here at our remote cabin site. Your videos keep me going, only 75 more days till we are back on our boat on Lake Michigan.

How did those massive yachts get in there since you guys was having such a hard time on the small boat?
Thanx for another awsome video 😃

I like watching your channel bc I was on my way to doing the same thing.
Murphy’s law I got sick.
This is the closest I’m going to come

I don't know Josh. Lookin pretty care free. What are u like inside your comfort zone?
Hey Josh,
I am over at St Augustine for the month. Just wondering when you will be back in Fl. and where?
Hey Frank. The video was shot a few months ago. So I’ve already been to FL and now back in California. I love St. Augustine though. Cool place.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How do you get out if you are stuck in the sand bars? Boat is quite heavy, isnt it?
Yes. In some cases you can back out with the engine in reverse. Or else you’d have to wait for high tide to lift you out.
@@JoshPostVlogs thanks.
Anyone else get flashbacks to Waterworld?
Meanwhile I sail on a Lake like a chump😂
Wouldn't heat up cans like that anymore. They are lined with plastic to prevent rusting and that nasty shit will end up in your food.
Oh no, the sun is sinking. So much for global warming. :-) Now, for the trip back out, you know, in the dark...by brail. :-)
