Saw them on Wednesday, and it one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen many. Ian’s voice was straight up perfection. The band looked like they were really having fun, the entire show was the vibe I needed. Thank you!

When "Electric" came out around 1986 I was an instant The Cult fan and still am to this day..I learned all their songs on guitar and love Billy Duffys playing..Ian sounds really good here too..

Something about Billy's playing - sounds simple but intricate on guitar (being self taught, he brought his own style, that was easy to him)

@@CarrigansGuitarClub He is from those guitarists that have no one style because if you take 1982 it's one, 1983 is different, 1984 also, 1985 too etc. From 1987 on its heavy rock like 1000s had already done it. Pre-DC and in DC it is psychobilly-like lol.

Omfg thank you so much for capturing this legendary band's set and uploading it. I became an instant Cult fan the first moment I seen "She Sells Sanctuary" on MTV at 7 years old. Then in 1989 I was old enough to earn my own money cutting lawns, babysitting etc and I would buy myself my own records. I walked into the local record store and there was The Cult "Sonic Temple" on release day. I bought a cassette copy with the first 10 seconds of walking into the store. I didn't even hear or see their first video "Fire Woman" until a few days later on Headbanger's Ball, but by then I had completely consumed the album and knew ever word from opening to close. Through the years I would always have something pop up no matter where I would be in the world when they came around on tour and they remain on my bucket list to see live. Ian Asbury doesn't get enough credit for being one of the best rock vocalists and front men ever. I still own the (laugh) The Doors Stoned Immaculate DVD when multiple rock frontmen played with the remaining members on their classic tracks, and Ian sounded so bloody close to the great Jim Morrison it was eerie. To see the boys still going strong over four decades in the craft puts a huge smile on my face and they sound really good here to. So once again thank you so very much for not only recording, but uploading to share with the rest of us. I'm also jealous you got to see them, I just hope they come around Milwaukee in the next few years, and the only thing that would prevent me from seeing them is if I'm not longer of this 🌎 hahaha. The Cult rule!!!!!

I love Cult, but I hate them when Ian cuts out vocal melodies and doesn't sing. I've seen them many times and he always does it live.
Simply because he doesn’t have his voice anymore: he aged and that’s normal not reaching high and powerful notes like he did in the past. That’s why he prefers to preserve his voice cutting and changing melodies
