I know it would be good for me to do more of it. I run a bit of distance and I know the flexibility would improve my recovery, speed, let alone fishing/recreational sports.
Looked like a killer day! That skinny dipper is hands down my favorite swimjig trailer. Fishing on paddleboard can be surprising, I’ve never done it tho personally since I’d probably not be the best candidate🤣especially being in Florida with all these dinosaurs swimming around But the paddleboard has got some weird fish catching juju, I got a video where my friend caught a 9lb 8 oz right in front of me. Somehow got turned around and had to pull it out of a tree behind his back lol
Wow that river looks awesome. Smallmouth are definitely my favorite fish to target. This looks like it would be be John's kind of fishing. I'm gonna have to pick me up a couple of those black buzzbaits. 👊👍
Man the series just keeps getting better. River looked right for your approach and didn't disappoint. I love the feedback you provided, fearless but aware and focused on your position. The buzzbait and swim baits 1-2 punch did some work. Blessings Ethan, keep bringing it
This series is like a compressed version of my life. Always searching for that 20, always looking to learn something about the fish in the river, always happy to have a smallie on the end of the line!
I am loving this series Ethan... Not only switching up and chasing smallies but fishing from a board instead of a kayak. Great to see all of the options available to us, I haven't thought of using a board in the creeks here in KY.
I suppose they do both depending on the season/baitfish. More often than not, I find that bass sit up against the edges of vegetation as it acts like an ambush point for them.

Pink is definitely a good smallie color. Just seems like it is day-to-day on when it works best for whatever reason.

Honestly this was my favorite fishing trip of the year. Floating on a board with one rod and limited tackle is a blast!!

Never actually caught a top water fish before 👀… I’ve had hits on top water but they just never seem to get the bait🤔
Keep trying it! This fall should be a good time to turn that around. Burn a buzzbait around when the fish start feeding aggressively.
