      If you can even read, how is he promoting that. And in what way do immigrants destruct white race? When in actuality immigrants are the ones who built Canada or USA. America or Canada would not be countries without immigrants. Instead of saying things like that educate yourself, there is google.

      @Dapper Canuck My wife was born in Iraq. She came here as a child because her parents were fleeing war. Believe it or not, they didn't want to live in the country ran by Saddam Hussein. She now spends time teaching other immigrants how to speak French and how to integrate into Canada.
      Fuck off with this "Immigration is bad for a nation" shit. Everyone knows that a country can only handle so many immigrants in a year, obviously. This is just a video of a guy helping some people integrate into the nation they moved to, that's a good thing!
      If you're the kind of guy who just goes around on any video that says "immigration" to get in arguments with people then dude, you have to re-evaluate how you spend your time.

    • @OrigamiMaster06
      @OrigamiMaster06 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomkelly8827 From this video alone, it seems like the American and Canadian governments are almost exactly the same in basic structure with the only difference being the Queen, Governor General, and the Senate being elected by the Prime Minister. In the US the Senate is elected by the people and state governments have senates in their legislators. Also, Idk about Canada but the Senate is often referred to as the "higher" of the two. Not necessarily the more powerful one but the upper body of the legislator. Also, the electoral college which creates an odd system where the President can be in the congressional minority.

    • @Mrnoddingdonkey
      @Mrnoddingdonkey 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OrigamiMaster06 the prime minister and president are very different. The PM is not directly voted for. The Party with the most seats chooses their leader, who is just a regularly elected MP, to be the prime minister. But technically they could change their leader or the leader could leave the party but remain in the House of Commons as an MP but not be the prime minister anymore. There would not need to be another election and a new prime minister would be chosen by the ‘ruling party’. Canada also doesnt have a two party system so it really makes the systems completely different. There are hints of the republican division of powers in Canada but the queen doesnt really equal the ‘one’ that the president does and the prime minister doesnt really either.

      @@AvrahamYairStern i dont mind the "British monarchy " if they're in the uk. Its just how the government is setup. The queen under the right conditions could take our independence away... our governor General is the only person who can remove a prime minster and is selected by each prime Minister... imo a continued connection through legislation has to end and the remnants of the monarchy removed. Keeping all that makes sense in the UK. A government to fall back on in reality bad times. What should be role models for the people. That doesn't make sense here

    • @AvrahamYairStern

      @@cannab-al9582 oh yes I completely understand what you are saying. J.J. did a good video on it some years back about how Canada's political system is not very Democratic and so on. The Monarch however does not hold this power of being able to remove independence at any time, I study Politics at A-Level here in the UK and all her powers are more or less symbolic, if she attempted to rebuild the Empire by her self, many checks and balances would instantly stop her.

      CPC: your parents
      Liberals: your high friends
      NDP: your friend who would have his own family go cold and hungry to help you out
      Bloc: clique who only look out for themselves, in this case Quebec
      Green: that wierd friend who cries when they accidentally step on an ant
      As a Canadian, I actually believe we need all of them (they all have different priorities and push the others out of their narrow thinking), minus the Bloc (they don't think about what's best for Canada, only what's best for them), but as an Albertan, I also sympathize with Québec since Ottawa isn't any good at taking care of regional problems. Alberta needs a separatist party.

It seemed amazing to me that Canada's elected officials share their time between legislative and executive duties, unlike the separation which we have in the U.S. Trump would not have lasted long under the Canadian system. Nontheless, I'm OK with the system that we've got, and I imagine many Canadians are content with their system, too.

  • @allanlank
    @allanlank 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Not too bad, well done. A few points however.
    1. Party Leader not Party Boss. A boss can't be removed from his position, a leader can be replaced if the party decides so.
    2. In Ontario there are four levels of government, federal, provincial, tier 1 municipalities (counties, regional municipalities, districts), tier 2 municipalities (cities, towns, villages, townships)
    3. The constitution states that judges must be chosen from the Bar Society of the province in which they serve. So, unlike in the USA, a judge must firstly be a lawyer.
    4. Appointments to the Senate or the courts are made by "the crown" on the advice of the Prime Minister (or Premier)
    5. The constitution states that parliament may sit for no longer than five years before calling an election. Provincial governments have their own "constitutions" governing the length of time between elections. Usually this is four years.
    6. If you commit a crime, break a federal law, you will be arrested by a municipal police officer, or "rent-a-cop" from the OPP or RCMP, and taken to a provincial court.
    Extra tidbits. The last Prime Minister who was not born in Canada was John Turner. His parents were serving in the diplomatic service in England when he was born. The Minister of Defence is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, a Sikh and developed a gas mask that would fit over his traditional beard. The Minister of Immigration was a refugee from Somalia.
    Extra-extra tidbit. The constitution actually says that judges are to be selected "from the bars of the provinces" which has lead to a humorous conclusion. When a judge dies and needs to be replaced, the Governor-General, or Lieutenant-General, forms a committee to search through the inns and taverns of the province to find the biggest drunk.
