CV: I haven't watched the UK version of the Office but here are my takes on who each character in the US version would main. Dwight and Andy would both be Fox mains as they want to both be the number one player and hide behind elitism of how you can not possibly the best if you are not playing the most technical character and they're both trying to constantly one-up eachother. Micheal Scott would start out playing Fox because he also wants to be one of the greatest players and the prestige of playing a super technical character but ultimately gives up on Fox and keeps switching characters, never finding a true main. Jim would play Puff, because he realized that he can get results without much effort, especially because most of the others are just constantly running in, giving him free rest oos punishes. This annoys Dwight and causes him to keep trying to downplay Jim's achievements. Kevin would play Captain Falcon or Bowser because they are awesome, or Peach because he would do her. Angela would play Peach or Zelda because she sees herself as a woman of royalty. Oscar would play the same character as Angela which she finds offensive because of her phobic prejudice while Oscar just chose the character because he liked Zelda/Peach. However he finds it amusing that Angela feels so threatened by him playing a female character. Pam could be playing Pikachu, Fox, Falco, Yoshi, or Sheik as she gets super excited about the game and grinds out a lot of tech skill. Stanley would refuse to play, Toby would not be allowed to play. Phyllis would probably play Kirby because he is adorable. Darryl plays Marth because he realized that he can very easily get kills once the others are off-stage (and still learning how to recover) by just standing near the ledge and timing fsmashes, later he teaches Michael what he has found out to work.
Re: Genesis viewership. It is important to consider co-streaming. IIRC Leffen, Mew2king, and Ludwig all co-streamed Genesis when it was running. Of course, not all viewers *would* have watched Genesis without the costrem (e.g. ludbuds). However, many would-be Genesis viewers would watch Leffen and Mew2King and some fraction would be watching Lud/Mang0's stream.
About viewer numbers for Genesis vs Pound. As someone living in Europe I tried watching Genesis live, but the late timeslot for melee, combined with the west coast timezone, meant top 8 started around 3am my time. I don't think I made it much more than an hour in before falling asleep. Pound was a lot easier, I could've watched ult too if I had wanted too, just because it's east coast.
My favorite underutilized move is Falco up smash. Love using it on Yoshi’s to poke through the platforms, get some cheezy kills since it sends the opponent horizontally off stage
Falco’s Upsmash knockback trajectory is so silly and people are hardly ever ready for it. You can knock people horizontally with it if you hit with the end of the animation.
CV: U.S office crew would definitely come out on top as they have tighter crew unity from their longer show running - Some obvious character picks I think: Jim playing jiggly puff because puff can require a lot of patience and slowing down your opponents pace to wear them down and get the dub, just like how Jim took it slow and was patient to win Pam. Kevin would undoubtedly play Luigi as a call back to the Diversity day episode “how bout some spagheeettiiii”

Maincast US: Michael does not know at all what he's doing, and picks game and watch because he's the most like paper. He does not figure out how to jump. Jim is a marth that thinks down throw down-tilt is the funniest thing. Similarly, Pam does not know what he's doing, picks yoshi because it's the cutest character on the screen, likes egglay. Dwight is a fox who laser camps, top platform camps, and plays to win (aklo?) but then inevitably loses to wavedash forward f-smash marths. The 5 I'd pick from US: Jim, Dwight, Darryl, Creed, Kevin. Jim and Dwight both want to outperform the other in the battle, and will push eachother to do well. Dwight has also proven great hand eye coordination (ping pong episode), and might just be a tech skill fiend akin to Relno. Darryl seems to be aware and laid back and super capable. He's careful (warehouse safety episode), so I imagine he could be a good sheik main. Creed would be avoiding jail and like mang0, would be a sick falco main. Kevin tends to be good at a lot of things that people don't believe he would be good at. I feel like he would play peach and he would down smash, and it would be excellent. Solid crew with marth, fox, falco, peach, sheik. Good counterpicks, and good stages. I really don't have enough knowledge on Office UK to give a good answer to this question, but I hope this will suffice.
Honestly with his techchases he made sheik-fox look unwinnable for Fox. Cody obviously didn't play his best but jmook's Fox punish game with Sheik honestly looked as good as Zain's with Marth at certain points.
