Hello! I'm so glad you are podcasting again. I used to watch you way back when you were doing all the socks and quilt as you go quilts, and Stephen West Garter Goodness and Boneyard shawls. You really inspired me to start so many shawls and of course socks. I'm knitting some Knit Picks Felici socks as I watch. I've had the yarn for several years and am finally knitting it up.
Oh my goodness I can not tell you how excited I was to see that you had a new episode up so soon!!! I just love your podcasts so much your love of just knitting for joy makes my heart happy!!! A lot of podcasts are knitting the “popular “ knits and knit so fast and it can make me feel like I am an awful knitter. But you remind me I do this for the joy and love of knitting!!! Thank you for making the time to do this!!! It means so much!
In all my crafts, I am all about the patriotic. I have a stack of cross stitch projects that need to be framed/finished- The Preamble, Battle Hymn of the Republic, pilgrims, flags, you name it. Yarns and fabrics in red, white, and blue make me happy.

I like the idea of the huge dishcloth style blanket. One of the nice things about that is on the second half it will feel faster and faster! I’ve been looking for a way to use up my scraps and I might start one of these.
I love Wives and Daughters - read it a couple times, watched it a bunch too! I liked Cranford by Gaskell also. Jane Austen novels are my favorite. I enjoy your enthousiasm for all your knitting things.

I really enjoyed Elizabeth Gaskell’s book North and South, her writing is wonderful! I know I also listened to it on audiobook - I can’t remember who the narrator was but it was very well done.

So many socks! I just keep starting new ones, which is a pattern with me. I get to the heel and stop and cast on something new. I'll probably have a new video up in the next couple of days. I've just spent so much time with my new kittens! ( Three 7 week old kittens we got last Monday, so they are 8 weeks now. SO MUCH WORK!)

Sara, what weight of yarn is the Moonglow on the garter square (washcloth pattern)? I'm thinking of starting one, but didn't know if sock weight was too thin. thanks!
Sara, if you cast on an even number of stitches for your cozy memory blankets how do you do your center decreases? I cast on an uneven number of stitches for mine.
I place a stitch marker in the middle so for 50 stitch blanket, cast on 25 stitches place marker cast on another 25 stitches. For the row knit to two stitches before marker k2tog, slip marker, k2tog through the back loop, runs knit the rest of the row. I don’t do a center double decrease just two decrease stitches on either side of the marker.
There was a North & South miniseries a few years ago on BBC and it was really good too, I recommend it!

I have a pattern called Delightful Dishcloths that is 70 stitches and uses an ssk and k2tog as it's decreases, maybe that what Sara does.
