Watching these 2000s style TV documentaries makes me realize how far some youtube documentary makers have come. This is still a great documentary, don't get me wrong. I didn't know we could improve. But damn, we did.

My first flight in a Boeing 747 was a South African flight from Frankfurt, Germany to Johannesburg, South Africa in April 1985. For political reasons the airline, South African Airways, was not allowed to overfly Africa. Instead it circumvented the black continent to the west, stopping over for refuling in Ilhal Dol Sal on the Cap Verde Islands. The striking feature was the extra wide cabin. Twice as wide as before. Then the take-off run was extra long.

Excellent documentary. It's a pity that Boeing now don't care about airline safety. The FAA have to be held accountable for allowing Boeing to certify the 747 Max. Bad mistake

I really hope that someday Boeing will work on a B 747 wich flies with a lower consumption less weight.l There are so many opportunities and choices if young people work on a new generation . So many passengers would appreciate it! The queen of the skies is always on demand and it's only the airline who does not want to order what all travelers appreciate.

A lot of people there that day believed that it was a holographic trick or that they were projecting the flight on a big movie screen in front of them. One of the first conspiracy theories ever.

The main problem with the A380 was it was freakin ugly. It looked like the kid out of the movie "The Mask"

    • @ztyy8185

Lol, the famous feud between Boing vs Airbus fans...
A380 looks stunningly beautiful. The wing , the cockpit... it looks like some majestic aquatic mammal who took flight. Looks different. Boing has its famed hump. Airbus have its distinct interstelar dolphin look

@@ztyy8185 I gotta say, I respect your opinion, everyone had different taste, but I am not a Boeing fan, they all look the same to me. But it looks like a person with a huge forehead... Anyway, interesting to see other people find it attractive, different strokes for different folks. 😁
