Tito Puente will always be remembered, just as Celia Cruz. He was an outstanding musician, and so far I haven't come across seeing anyone as good as hi is on timbales. He will lead a legacy on Salsa music. If this music doesn't make you dance and doesn't vibrate through your veins and blood, there is something wrong with you. A PLUS to this video. Patricia, NEW Orleans Music Exchange.!!!!
this takes me back to 1984 when I was just a little kid in Guatemala.. felt in love with this movie and its been my favorite since then. Mambo, Salsa, Guaracha and much more... everything just in one single movie!!! Y QUE VIVA LA SALSA!!!
Luis P- I think it's great that the announcer acknowledges Tito Puente. This song really is really meant for dancing. Not only is it really quick, but it's very interactive. A lot going on, but I imagine its fun!
Aiatt Nasreldin- This is unquestionably astonishing dancing song, and the way everyone in the video is playing along to every beat flawlessly makes the production so much better for me. The dance and everything were just astonishing.
Carlos Santana - The video is good capturing how dancing was back then. The song is a classic. My mother use to play it as a kid growing up while cooking in the kitchen.
Adana Harris- Watching the dancers, I feel a bit jealous. There's so much joy on their faces. The music is also so full of energy as said by other commenters. It's a very attractive video for sure.
I lived it -- spent every penny I earned in the dance rooms of the hotels in San Juan a lifetime ago. You can't imagine how amazing this sounds live with everyone crowded onto a dance floor moving vibrantly, no one bumping into anyone.
I wish I could have been there. The King of Salsa in the flesh. I saw Him at Madison Square Garden & The Meadowlands along with the Fania All Stars!!!!
Francesco Seddo - The setting appears to be a dancing competition. The different ways that all of the pairings mambo shows how versatile but also how difficult the dancing can really be. There are a lot of quick, fluid movements throughout the dancing that end up flowing with the piece perfectly.
Rachel Driesen- Seeing this short clip of the scene from the movie makes me want to watch the whole thing. This is undoubtedly amazing dancing music, and the way everyone in the video is dancing along to every beat perfectly makes the performance so much better for me.
Timothy T - I like the energy of the performers in that it boosts the energy of the dancers as well as any onlookers, improving the vibe for everyone involved.
Inyoung choi- Everything in dance music is perfect and grand. It's energy-giving music, and it looks like a classic, but it's very unique, so it's fun.
Adil Abidi- This video is intriguing because of how it starts, everyone is frozen and I cannot seem to figure out the underlying message of it. Also, I do not think I have ever seen anyone dance the salsa in the 1980s prior to this. Of course this may have been filmed after that, but the combination of the era and the culture is something I am not used to and was not expecting.
