Hey I’m moving there in a couple of months and will be attending Thompson rivers university how is the undergrad program there and also Currently confused between settling down in Kamloops or Prince George . I would like to ask how the life there in Kamloops is in terms of part-time job , rent , social life etc and is it an expensive city to live in?
Hey TRU is a good school in my opinion, the facilities are nice, the lecturers are interesting and the learning feels personal because of the class sizes so it’s good in that aspect. When it comes to Kamloops I’d say it’s small depending on what you’re used to and you get to know people fast or people get to know you fast because of how small of a community it is. But yeah it’s nice as well. Jobs is a hard one which I feel like I’ll talk about sometime soon but I hope this helps 😊
@@preciousikweznmma6972 it’s one of the more affordable cities to live in Canada in general but it’s still expensive if im not wrong, I was told the cheapest place is Edmonton again I could be wrong
To be very honest, the jobs are there but they’re just very very particular when it comes to hiring especially with the new allowance of working hours.
@@my_life_as_Rumbie most people get jobs through referrals from friends or family so that’s one solution, the other is to hand in physical copies of your resume around places, going on an app called indeed. It can be tough but just don’t give up is what I’ll say. It genuinely depends, you could get a job in a week you never know.
@@madhunter9370 there’s a variety of options mostly customer service based like working in restaurants stuff like that, housekeeping there’s almost everything. Getting them is the tricky part.
