When my husband bought my Knitmaster 302 (in England) 64 years ago he paid for lessons for me. Somehow I didn't get to the classes and so I picked most of it up by myself. Your videos are especially great for me as they open up more complex stitchery than I have known up until now. Thank you! I am now in Fort Worth, not far from you (by Texas standards!)
Decided to tackle this stitch four days ago. It does take time to make, however, it is a very lovely stitch. Making a scarf - as of this writing on row 268. I found a cream color cone yarn at the local charity shop, and it gives the scarf that lacey look. On each side of 0 I have 4 groups of these stitches/ Thanks as always Diana for your continued creativity to encourage other machine knitters. UPDATE: I completed the scarf today, and I could not be more satisfied. I did add two rows of beads on each end before binding off; blocked the scarf. Will be giving it as a birthday gift. Thanks Diana!!!!!
Thank you Diana. Your videos are of a great help to me. I am quite new into knitting and the only the only things I could make were the usual plain kind of knitting done in most parts of Nigeria, before I came across your videos. Visited your website to check a few of your books, I am yet to make a purchase because at the moment I am financially unstable; but would soon, hopefully.
If you go to my TH-cam Beginner Lessons here th-cam.com/play/PLoUZP3NyltP8wWNF69XK-cgpMUzUr1Bii.html You can work one lesson a day - watch it, then do it, consulting your machine manual as needed, and you'll have conquered your main bed in about a month. This really works! If you would like the new version of the Beginner Course, redone in high definition, that is available as a two DVD set at www.dianaknits.com.
Yay, new fave for 2018! Thank you Diana for this tutorial. Last year I learned machine knitting & my favorite was your seashell stitch. Happy New Year! ❤
Diana, thank you for showing this stitch pattern. I've admired it on several items my LYS has displayed and now I know I can do it on my machine! BTW, your dog's noises are adorable, they always want attention when you're doing something else, don't they!?!
My dog is a small, 15-year-old mutt, very sweet, but we've spoiled him horribly. He's quite vocal, always making noises, and I usually manage to re-film or otherwise edit his noise out of the videos. He was nowhere near me as I worked on that video, and I suspect he was pestering hubby for something.
I used two strands for the e-wrap only to make a sturdier edge. After that, I just used one strand. You could use one strand for the cast-on if you prefer. Try a swatch!
Hello Diana, I already contacted you about a machine my mom has, empisal 321. Could you please record a detailed video about how to start knitting on one of those, because our carriage always seems to get jammed in the middle, for the first few rows. We aren't sure if we even set it up well. We are using a 2 parted machine. Please if you could give us your email(i couldn't find it on your blog), we could show u an exact picture of the problem. My mom is freaking out because of it. Thank you.
I don't have an Empisal 321, so I can't make a video. It's very similar to the machines I teach, but it's a very old machine and I have no way of knowing if it is in good shape.I strongly recommend that you check the sponge bar and replace it if it is at all crushed or worn before you do anything else. You can purchase a new one that fits that machine from a dealer. Also, use very, very thin yarn as you are learning - fingering weight or 2/12 or thinner cone yarn. Do not use typical big box store yarn. Ask the dealer to sell you something appropriate for a standard gauge machine. If you use the machine without a good sponge bar and with yarn that is too thick, it will be miserable. You could even bend needles on the machine. It is better to email me than to try to communicate on TH-cam comments. My email is available at my blog http:diananatters.blogspot.com.

Your English was very clear, the explanations were very polite, and it was slow and easy to understand. Thank you.
I can’t wait to try this. I love feather and fan!
That stitch pattern is so fun to knit.

Thank you for posting this Diana. Do you happen to have a chart for this? I know it's really simple but I find a chart easier. Thank you!
Hiya Diana, I love you! Hope you’re doing well x
Hi do you have to use the two strands to ewrap? Not also sure if I need to knit with two strands thick for whole of scarf? My yarn is thicker

Please Hindi mam
It never looks the same as hand knitting though
You can duplicate the stitch with a garter carriage, but that's slow.
SOUS TITRE EN FRANCAIS PLEASE
Please Hindi mam ji
