I did a lot of research on the hospital when I was stationed in Maryland in the early 2000's. I have a map and a small pamphlet of the history from the Glen Dale historical society. The morgues are located in both the children's hospital (small building) and the adult hospital ( largest building) across the street.
The morgue in the adult hospital is located I believe at the rear on the first floor inside the attached smaller structure facing the parking lot. I think the one in the children's hospital is located in the basement.
The buildings you were in that had the fireplaces were the nurse's quarters. The first one you were in was McCarran Hall which housed the nurses for the adult patients and the portico connected it to Capper Hall which housed the children's nurses. The reason for these living areas was because of the times the hospital was built- The Great Depression. Because of economics, fewer people had the bucks to afford their own cars, especially young nurses. So it made better sense for the hospital's mission to house most staff including doctors on site. Of course, today, even teenagers own cars and can commute to work. The quarters were interestingly, named after two senators McCarran and Capper who were passionate about the public especially children during the TB outbreak, so much so that they pushed forward government spending on these hospitals called sanatoriums. Sen Capper and his wife could have no children. So, he felt especially for these children of D.C. poor like they were his own. This particular hospital would take in children and later adults, who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment free of charge and no paying patients would be admitted until there were no other non-paying patients waiting for admission.

My dad was the chief boiler engineer there from 66 to 81 he died in 05 from asbestos in his lungs from that place. My dads office up those steps in the boiler room. Use to go to work with him at night and we would sleep on the floor in our sleeping bags, good memories.

Used to go in there all the time. Lots of buildings to explore. Tunnels connect each building, even the doctors and nurses residences. Of course those tunnels could be quite flooded by now. We used to go there when the power was still on.
One time a few buddies and I decided to go there years after just to see it again, right before the Secret Service decided to do training there. We encountered a black security guard who drew his gun on us. We explained to him what we were doing and he actually tagged along with us because he was a bit scared to go in, but wanted to see what it was like. We had a great time for a few hours and we were also happy to have a gun with us.
I would venture to guess it's in way worse condition now then back in the early 90's. Be very careful and I wouldn't suggest a roof visit unless you know what you are doing.

My sister and I went just a month ago and we climbed up to the roof using the stairs in the adult building. The stairs were steel and were surprisingly very stable, as was the roof itself. No holes, no shaking.

Glad you enjoyed the exploration. Wish we had more paranormal experiences during our 3 investigations though. Our tech/devices did have some activity in the children's auditorium and morgue though. I grew up in the division down the road from this hospital. So I got to see what it was like before the hospital was closed down. They've tried to do different things with this property since then but to date nothing has really worked out. Likely due to the cost of removing all those asbestos.

Glendale is a fun spot to explore. I use to live up the street in Bowie and snuck in by the morgue back in 2018. Went up a few floors by myself but dipped out after hearing a bang on the wall next to me. 😂
(Future reference: the morgue is in the big building that's right next to the bike trail: the Washington/Baltimore/Annapolis Bike trail. Just sneak in through the bushes but be careful cause there's cameras in the entryway).

Heard there’s unmarked graves all along the property. I remember one of the times I went w a bunch of friends security came, so we all book and start running through the field by the well or whatever that is and me and my friend that was running with me, we fell into a hole that was grave sized.. the ground gave in and we fell like 3ft down lol fucked us up after running full speed. Good to know there’s no more security was always a bitch tryna avoid them back in the day. Another place that’s super cool that’s relatively in the same area is forest haven, it’s an insane asylum and the property is HUGE there’s like 20 buildings on the property, only thing is it’s super hard to find a spot to park without having to walk like a mile just to get there. Been countless times super cool man gotta check it out if you haven’t already. Used to have a lot of good times exploring those two places. We’d always stuff 2 cars full of friends and go, stop and take smoke breaks, meet other people exploring.. so many stories lol.

Involved in 3 different investigations in 2007-2008. I do not recommend exploring this now. Health and physical hazards. Our team took precautions for asbestos and lead paint, but even in 2008 the buildings were falling in on themselves as noted in our filming. Only yielded a few interesting situations yet with no real paranormal activity. Did have one night vision camera get unusually fried though. The auditorium, the maintenance building, the power plant, the conference room in the admin building, and the morgue were interesting spots. An incident in the stairwell with the open elevator shaft at the top yielded conversation on floors below, but might have been just local kids. Distant crashes heard often as the buildings are slowly collapsing. The local police patrol the grounds often and at one point a security trailer was manned 24/7. Stay clear, this is not worth risking any investigations.

So me, my friend and his girlfriend went to this hospital literally just to get some pictures, so we go in to the adult hospital, we was on the first floor and was walking down the Hallway checking every room, getting pictures and moving onto the next room, so we get to the end of this hallway to a dead end which obviously we had to turn around and go back the other way to explore the other side,(we thought there would be a stair case to go the next floor at the end) so we start walking back and we get about 3/4 way back and stop to start recording, we just was about to record and like gods honest truth, we heard what sounded like a little girl go lalala, from behind us, so basically down the hallway where we had just came from and had to turn around, we checked every room as we went down so no one could of been in there, and we heard it and it took a few seconds for us to realize, holy shit, we all heard that and started running😭 it’s funny cause I was running so fast and was in a panic I ran right past the exit not realizing it and like threw my arm out to grab a part of the wall to stop myself, and like on the way back home I was driving and felt like all my energy was drained, and almost like I was disoriented, btw we had only ran like 30-40ft so It’s not like I was tired from running, and even my friend and his girlfriend said they were feeling weird

I went here a few months ago and felt so many eyes on me. Can't explain it but the dead are watching you. So many bodies buried there probably. I wanted to explore forest haven but that place is guarded af. Should've worn a mask in there, asbestos lungs...

I don't know just stayed out of sight at best as possible "in case". Always best philosophy for me.
