Ever since I began habitually listening to Horror Babble I have never lacked for a good story. There are so many and the stories are so good and I especially love the ones from long ago. It's like mental time travelling listening to Lovecraft and James and so many Weird Tails. And I fill with unrestrained delight every time Ian Gordon says the word 'roof'.

    This is an excellent recording!

Very unusual version of the myth...One would think the creatures would want to avoid family and loved ones upon realizing their fate...family being "easy" prey doesn't make logical sense to me since people who are around us every day tend to notice if we act that much differently😁
Ian: In Overly Sarcastic Productions video on Dracula...Red mentions the idea of keeping a vampire in its tomb by use of a rose...Really?? ? No stakes, garlic, crucifixes, blood, hammers and screaming...??
Your wife says...oh you bought me a dozen roses??
Hell no these are for the rest of the family😃😃😃😃

well written and, of course, well read. the story has psychological depth and human emotion. i often wonder what short story writers exist today because there are no short story magazines like there used to be, The New Yorker only takes stories of a certain kind which are often just too affected - or have a surface "meaningfulness". O'Henry and the like, they're not. (the reason i do not like Lovecraft at all is because he has no depth - it just has stuff that's supposed to scare you - i find him boring. but - that's just my opinion.)
