Thank you so much for the quick, useful, and comprehensive yet uncomplicated explanation for these tips. I just bought this yesterday and botched my first game cause some of these other channels reeeeeaaallllllyyyyy don’t give much detail or the wrong details for their tips. Much appreciated brother!!!
Great tips! Just say hapinness mechanic has been changed and don't kill rat mother before destroying as many infected nests as you can, they gives you the basic element for alchemy
I sadly think some may go out of date with the updates but thats the way with Early Access. Planning on doing a more advanced tips video in the future!
I was looking for a vid like this, but most creators don't get it... you do! :) Why would i want to watch a 40m video with 10 tips, while you make one of 7 mins with 20 hehe. Great work my friend, you know what's up!
I really messed up and might start a new save since I have an animal army at the moment that takes a ton of food and does minimal damage. My pig, for example can only go toe-to-hoof with archers and anything else two-shots it, so it's near useless. I didn't know how to scaling worked so I thought building up via animals was a good idea.
@@theRandolfski It seems to still be that way. The enemy always has 1 or 2 more people than me, maybe more for the high difficulty groups. Since the pig is useless and the wolves and bears aren't as good as troops, most battles are tough. But hey, I'm swimming in cash since I don't have to employ them😃
Just picked the game up and enjoying it so far, been trying to use excess iron and wood to make weapons and level up my blacksmithing and sell for profit, can make a few quid but nothing spectacular. Just tickling the trading aspect of it now and doing all the easy missions, got a little bit of money saved up and decent armour and weapons. Took my first slaves to work the mines and fish also captured some piggies and put saddle bags on them lol.
Never even considered making weapons solely for the upgrade in skill and tier! Can you actually deal in slavery? I’ve never really taken prisoners and done anything other than sell them at the prison.
@@theRandolfski aye you can make them do the jobs like camp cook etc. They cost food and like 2 gold to upkeep, they don’t count to your combat party level so the enemies don’t scale up in the battles.
Most of these are good tips except for the one about avoiding the white fog. 2 archers with overlapping barrage and that fight is GG. You also need white leather from that fight to make better gear.
You are absolutely correct. It should have been avoid the fog early on. At all costs. I think you probably need 4-6 well equipped characters to vanquish the fog monsters.
A belated comment here but since most all of these tips are still pretty much spot on 7 months later and still very useful for the beginner I shall proceed regardless. Firstly the white fog advice is no longer really applicable as stated here. You need to take on spirit animal fights to obtain white leather which you need for craft third tier gear. Once you have obtained enough knowledge points to start learning tier 3 weapons and armour you should be high enough level to take on spririt animals and there is a trick to being able to beat them effectively. Secondly the advice to limit your party size is based on "free play" mode in which enemies are always scaled to your party. There is now another mode called "region locked" which fixes the levels of mobs by location, they are not affected by the size or level of your party, so region locked mode plays very differently and the size of your party is mainly dictated by your ability to pay their wages and feed than than anything else. This mode open up the possibility of a more trading focused start where via weight of numbers you can force your way through to the two adjoining regions early on and make oodles of money shipping trade goods.
Hey man! Was wondering if the video would age and interesting to see some have, some have not! Appreciate the comment and hope those watching click it to double check some potential new bottlenecks!
I must say.. i like the Game but some points are make me hurt to play. - the upscaling is so brutal, Why to build greater Group when you dont cant overrun the Enemy.... - the fact that you dont can see what your Mercs can use. Every time you must save bevor learn something new. LEarn the 2h axe.. oh nice the guy who use a 2h Hammer cant use it...nice.. and reload...
I have 12 Mercenaries five horses 25 days of food 6 K gold like a boss but my lag and frame rate drops is crazy and I fight usually 12 to 15 enemies at a time I think because there are is like 50 characters or give or take that's why the frame rates are so bad I don't say it to brag it's more of a warning some basic fights can take up to an hour because they move in slow motion sometimes very frustrating I do not have a high end gaming computer so that could be one of the reasons but it's not too bad of a computer indoor combat is usually pretty smooth but when you're outside the weather has a lot to do with it too many animations I really love the game I think I need a better high-end computer to play it's smoother though I've seen some people do hard content with 7 characters so you don't need as much as I do I just wanted to see how much I would be able to manage I'm around 50 food arrest and close to 300 in paying The Mercenaries when they ask for payment I've learned that the Wolves and the boers don't do very good in combat because I can't control them they are too Reckless and soft but just in case you're curious I have 2 DPS tanks 2 High defense/D buffing tanks 2 Spearman better able to throw their Spears 2 arches 1 for fire and longbow 2 Rogues with torches they do massive damage and with the Dagger perk their crazy 1 two-handed axe 1 two-handed hammer that is my team they work out very well I don't know if it's much because I'm still newish to the game and my weapons aren't the very best I think but I can crit up to 70 to 80
@@theRandolfski yeah I have 16 G Ram I think I need a better Monitor and more Ram to play it better the computer primarily wasn't for gaming it was for work some games work just fine like battle brothers or darkest dungeon but I think since there's so many animations constant movement the computer can't keep up I was trying to do work around but most the fights are in slow motion Ishq I love PC games I was on console but trying to get a computer that works extremely well is very expensive especially with all the new games that come out with the best quality graphics you can see the sweat come down off the characters LOL

Excellent job. I watched 20 videos on Wartales and your video was loaded with new advice.
It’s so funny because some of it has aged but so much is still relevant! Hope the advice treats you well!
Well done my Scottish friend. Glad I could help contribute.
This is BQCadet btw
You were the heart and soul of this video!
Great tips! Had no idea your party could become drunks, I'll need to get that happiness perk asap

Thanks friend. Just wanted to make a straight shooting minimal waffle video to help folks play this badboy of a game!
Great video. Succinct, to the point, very useful and actually values the audience's time.
Thank you friend!
I am very intrigued by this game. Great video, cheers.
Appreciate that Kris, worth checking out/ keeping an eye on for sure!
Buy crates of goods from the market and sell em to merchants right outside town for a quick tho small profit
This is one I was not aware off!!
@@theRandolfski different towns have increased profits, beyond the minimal wandering trader price; so, the run skill comes in handy.
just got into the game and your videos are very helpful thanks
Happy to help, hoping to do another one soon with some more advanced tips!
Thanks for the video. The accent is a perfect match for Wartales IMHO xD
Appreciate that Pedro, if the devs ever see this I am available for VO!

This video is a few months old now so not sure what the current balance is, but the scaling was 100% at time of release reliant on part numbers.

Ha- it is a banger.
Nice video
Thanks Papa Scoobs.
Good work bro, very nice tips! I'm enjoying this game, but it is really poor on information though. I've learned from suffering until now.
I think it’s part and partial with early access. I still feel it has massive seeds of potential! Just gotta get through the initial sore head.
Just want to point out that all your characters use the same valor point pool. Doesn't matter which character is at the tent.
I have since learned that, I kind of feel some of the advice in this video may go out of date with the updates being released!
