Never has there been a hiking/camping Channel, that's so real/authentic, calming, and enlightening...as this one. I live that you not showy or play to the camera. You're real, and I find a great sense of calmness with your camping videos
@Gillie Monger I would have done but all I could see on the summit was the trig point and a black dot popping up and down so I didn’t realise it was Paul until I got closer 😁
While I'm stuck in my shitty, little, city apartment, I watch your videos as an escape and for a few minutes I imagine I'm there in the nature where we belong. Thank you!
Yes but Paul at least you have a warm bed too sleep in, a roof over your head and food in your belly. All the dreams of owning a big house, nice car on the drive is a materialistic. I got divorced two years ago, had too sell my big house to pay the ex off, but now I’m living in a little one bedroom flat that is well decorated, nice fitted kitchen and bathroom etc, im happier now than ever before🙂
Little Hack for you Paul. You only need one side on your chopping board. To stop the pan slipping around when eating, use a hot gun and put some lines of heat glue on one side. When cooled and dry it will stop anything placed on it slipping around and it does not mind a little heat. I did this at home to stop chopping board slipping around on work surface. Kind regards!
when I was in the navy we would put a slice of bread on the table then put our plate on top. Would stop the food from slipping around while the ship was rolling.
I’ve got the cascade design table after seeing you use it. The hump in the middle is easily cured. Pop open the press studs and fold it the opposite way couple of times. Hump will have disappeared.🤙
I just yoke myself, my cats and my dogs. I guess the brits are more advanced than me. Gotta give the microphones some of those good vitamins. The secret to good TH-cam audio, haha! :-)
My Rocky Mountain Canadian brain kept screaming "What about the bears Paul!? You left food scraps by your tent! They're gonna get ya while you sleeping!" I had to remind myself your fine cause you're not in bear/wolf/cougar country! Thanks for sharing and inspiring people to enjoy the outdoors with you. For anyone interested you don't need to get the best of the best gear to get started, even Walmart or a similar-style store can get you out a couple weekends in the summer and you can upgrade to what suits your needs.
You should be a ambassador for England pal. You literally showing how beautiful are amazing country is. People unfortunately don't see it and all its glory just complain in their so called ' shitholes ' Your my motivation to see more of my country 👍
Hi Paul love your vids! The red liquid is actually myoglobin, a protein that's only found in muscle tissue. Myoglobin carries oxygen through the muscle and contains a red pigment - which is why muscle tissue is red. As a steak is cooked, the myoglobin darkens - which is why the more “well-done” the meat is, the grayer it looks. all the best mate and I look forward to more great videos from you! 😎

Another good video. Good to see you out. Went out with friends. Had a faulty canister on their jetboil .Lucky I took the Trangia also otherwise we would have been stuffed.
Great stuff Paul-you make us want to be chilly, sleeping in a tent on the top of a mountain! Love that our mounts are helping you capture your adventures!
what you do with tarp tents is when you seam seal it you also put strips on the floor with the seam sealer it stop the you from siding arround and every year repeat depends how much you use it... i used mine for 100 night and it need a few more strip of sealant
That steak and eggs looked scrumptious! Great shout out to Novice Wild Camper and his little folding table. I'm loving the tent. I've just ordered a Tarptent Noch li - so I'm hoping the quality is as good as people say. Happy Hiking 🥾- Julia
For anyone interested this seems to be south east of the lakes. Near the York Moors. You can just see Lancaster power station to the south on the coast and Morecambe bay opposite.
Cracking vid as always Paul. Camped up there myself a while back. Lovely area. Sleeping bag looked interesting. Great work as always. ATB and TFS.... Craig 👍🏼
I love that sleeping bag. Used it high in the alps at -5°C. Unfortunately the sleeve didn't fit my nemo tensor but i added a few elastic straps and seems to do the trick. When the ground is not even i like to add a foam mat between the sleeping bag and mattress and try to even out with my bag and any extra clothes
Really enjoyable thanks for sharing, some great ideas there and the invisible selfie stick threw me as I always thought it was taken from a drone! Look forward to the next outing 👍
@Paul I have had my scarp1 for several years, its a great tent, I have learnt a few things over the years. To stop your mat from slipping on the floor put your spare clothes under the mat at the low end. Also painting lines with diluted silicone on the floor helps too. Also to stop the cross pole straps from flapping in the wind hook them together (I have the old style of cross pole strap hooks, so this might not be possible with the new style on the new scarp models). PS enjoy our channel.
Hi Paul. It is great to see that you are still wild camping so thank you for making the effort to do this. Congratulations to your success on TH-cam. You explain and present your topics in a crystal clear manner. Either this comes naturally or you make a big effort to structure it but either way you get the results. I am trying very hard to build my channel but it is super slow. My content is far too focused so I am working on expanding it. I frequently look at your work and would never directly copy but I do get many ideas form your excellent content and presentation. Keep doing what you are doing very well done. ATB Tom
Ever thought of taking up paragliding and combining it with your camping trips? You can get some really light and compact gliders (called Hike and Fly) that would bring another dimension to your adventures!
I love camping im going on friday with my niece shes 10 so im gonna teach her how to set up camp how to keep a fire going etc then we'll spend the rest of the weekend in scotland
I'm waiting for more stock to come in if you want one. Follow the link in Paul's vid description and it'll take you to my vid with a link to ebay if you want one or contact me direct on Facebook 👍
G’day Paul, great to see you out and about again. Love your camping gear and photographic equipment too. Love the view as well. Cheers from Down Under 🍻
Awesome video Paul. Loving the camera gear and that sleeping bag looks well comfy. Those magnets will save a lot of faffing about too! All the best.. Day
Did anyone else have problems hearing Paul at times? It's like his voice faded out a couple of times. Paul, use seam sealer on the floor of your tent. Just swipe four or five lines across from side to side.
Thanks for all the info on your camera gear. Very useful. Love the table I will have to look this up. Have you any suggestions for quilts you have wetted my appetite for this piece of kit and I really only know about thermarest. It’s great to have you out and about again.
Great vid Paul, seam sealed my tarptent scarp 2 couple weeks ago so hopefully second outing next week for me . These tents are are definitely up along side the hillibergs.

Could you do a video about selecting a good site for pitching a tent when wild camping? Covering both where to pitch safely and discreetly.
Hi BEAUTIFUL. SCENERIES. LANDSCAPE. AWESOME. AMAZING. CAMPING. COOKING.
