beautiful boxing ronnies pretty good
they were tired as hell at the end xd,boy i sure remember how that feels like
but damn, that tall guy has some NICE deffensive skills
Not sure..
This kid Ronnie looks like the real deal
I remember Lydell in grade school man.. It's good to see him do great things!! Can't wait to see his next fight! Much love Mr. Rhodes
One of tha place tobe
Rhodes didn't have one answer for this guy.
TheGreeneRoom not one
later on this year
Great boxing. I agree that Lydell's height and reach make it tough for him to fight on the outside or out of the shell against a taller opponent. The angle makes him vulnerable to right and overhand. Even if he rolls the right he's too far away to counter. Floyd's reach is 72", that's the same as Kovalev who is 6'0.
nice double jab step in the first round
This kid slaps with his jab, he needs to break that habit before he goes pro.
thehom eman exactly, Im a amateur boxer and I know for a fact those jabs dont do shit. He needs to train the Bruce Lee jab, 10 times faster stronger and cant put pushed back when impact hits the fist. No matter how much muscle you have no one can break the lock of the elbow, People dont realize how much you can learn mentally from Bruce Lee and his punching forms and whats stronger and faster. Its all in the hips and core and when you have strong electric legs its lethal. Angles and lateral side to side jumps exploding with smart footwork is key to make up the upperbody flow like water.
thehom eman it's a Flicker Jab similar to to what Tommy Hearns primarily to set up the hard right hand
Good work from both guys. Given his height, Rhodes might need to make an adjustment in his style to deal with the right hand. Rolling it not as effective because he's shorter. The angle from taller opponents makes the right hand easier to drop down and over the shoulder. He has an out fighting style but his height makes that tough to pull off.
watch out for them detroit boys
for some reason he didn't do what SR told him to do. (slip the right & hook to the body)
Ronnie Austion would make a good 135 if he could make it. he shape as hell
Ronnies going to be a fuckin problem!
That jab.... he has a good one.
A big one. He has wrinkles already. He just needs confidence.
Yeah he just needs to work on his technique and head movement more he has the right timing
how tall is lydell rhodes
Good work for both gentlemen. Ronnie should keep those hands up regardless his comfort level. Punchers chance can change things easily.Good prospect and hopefully he can adjust to a pressure fighter because his stamina looks suspect.
DON FETUCCINI Thats true because a high stamina pressure fighter thats explosive getting to different angles will eat that face up
Future Pro Boxer Dude is nice, He looks like a total package and polishing a few things wouldn't take long for such a talent. His style and ring work looks similar to Berto's. I expect good things from Ronnie.
DON FETUCCINI Very true, no matter what young age you start off in boxing, some will have natural talents but they can always improve to be great or beyond that, Just needs someone smart to train him, like what Cus D`Amato did with Tyson when he was young. Not a fan at all of the philly shell defense because Ive seen and hit alot of weaknesses in those defenses in my last 6 fights, but you never know what a person can change into with hard work..
No doubt!
Rhodes got that work that day! ahaha
what weight does Ronnie fight at in the amateurs?? 152?
Jab and fold, jab and fold, jab, jab and fold. Ronnie did the right thing chopping down with the right hand. Kept that 2 off of him when Lydell comes out of the fold. Other than working that, there wasn't really anything else worked on.
No i tried to spin him lmaoooo
damn Ronnie got fast hands he won this easy.
how long has ronnie auston been boxing
well you seem to be in the loop in boxing, so you should know that sparring isn't a fight, you work on things & not in fight shape. for example this was my 2nd day back in the gym, so you don't get judged off sparring but rather your performance in an actual fight
For a kid in his teens Austion looks good here
Ronnie did well. They both looked a little gassed pretty quick though
Rhodes is trained by a mayweather so wtf. and Ronnie is from the kronk gym so he's definitely not trying to be mayweather.
Ronnie will fight sum1 his size an get knocked out lol cuz he isn't that quick Rhodes jus isn't good lol
thats a lightweight sparring a welterweight not a big deal considering im 147 and i sparred super middleweights you cant use size as an excuse in the ring especially when sparring
KING JAY yeah you can. sparring someone a body frame or size bigger is a problem. you cant deliver as hard as a hit. so lydells punches weren't as strong as they usually would be at someone his size.
135 to 147 not a big deal and so what sparring is not about trying to knock someone out
Come up with your own style smh
