Kelly-Ann I would LOVE to see how you incorporate the court in a live reading! Like, I understand the personalities now but what if it comes up in a solution position or an action position, etc.
I could literally consume hours and hours and hours of tarot content from you Kelly Ann. My favourite suit is cups 🍵🩷 And my favourite court is the Queen of cups. I'm simply classic like that.
This is really great and helpful! I'm just starting to study the cards more seriously, and this was very useful for the courts and their members. I took a lot of notes!
This makes me so happy. Helping people with their Tarot journey is the privilege of my life. I just met a lovely subscriber in Glastonbury who stopped me to tell me that I taught her Tarot with my videos, and I was just so touched. Glad this resource supported your learning, darling.
Absolutely fascinating. Way too advanced for a novice like me but I’m saving this to watch again when I understand more. I’m currently doing your Trainee Tarot course and it has shown me both how little I know, and how much I want to know. Thank you so much for giving so generously of your time. 🙏🏽
I do think my favorite court is the cups, they always feel like welcome friends. Page of Cups especially, who has shown up as medicine in the form of imagination, sweetness, vulnerable exploration.
Thank you so much for this video and the other tarot one you put out recently!! I will be watching the on repeat!! So much information to absorb ! Well done, like always... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was so so helpful Kelly-Ann! Thank you for your time and effort 🤗 Swords are my fav suit for sure and Queen of Swords shows up for me frequently, so she's bestie ❤
I am currently studying tarot through the lense of Astrology. Knight, Queen, and King each have a Sign they are associated with according to Golden Dawn traditions. Viewing that in terms of someone's star sign has been helpful. I tend to work with a combination of the Psychological and Energetic modes in my practice.
I have this same deck. I love it so much. Page- I like to think as apprenticeship Knights - they go out to gather info for the higher court Queen - reciever of the info. How do thing effect others as a whole. King - the collective of all before and making a decision
Yesss. I like to think that the Queen writes the rules which the King then outwardly enforces. But of course, the roles of the court are so malleable and nuanced. Love the little 'hacks' that help to lay the foundations of our deeper understanding though. ✨️
You explained everything in a way that I could see myself in them all. I'm grateful for that. At times it's easy to just see these like astrology. There's so much to learn so you learn about how it relates to yourself, your partner then maybe like three other people. Then it becomes overwhelming because how am I supposed to relate to this now? You've made it simple and relatable. Thank you!
This is so valuable to watch, take notes. You explain very well what they are about, it helps a lot. I dislike swords the most but mostly because of their shadow sides, the coldness is something I can’t bear at all. The others I don’t even know what I like the most, they have their own ways. I guess the Queen of Wands is one of my favorites then, I have a lot of fire in my natal chart so I do vibe with her. Queens are really awesome 😊
I think this is my new favorite video discussing the court cards and their meanings. I always love the amount of clear specificity and depth you give to all of your videos regarding the tarot. I definitely resonated with some of the personality types and their shadows mentioned in this vid too 👀
I'm late for this video but man, what a GEM !!!!! 😍 So many movie characters came to mind while you worked through these courts, especially the shadow side of the Queen of Pents: clearly Frances Lacey (Kathy Bates) in A Home Of Our Own. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lesson!!! As you mentioned, many readers struggle with the courts, and that has been my main struggle. Thank you so much for this lesson. I'm a new subscriber, (by mention of The Stitchin Witch ❤️) you are SO easy to watch and listen to. Thank you for all you contribute to the community 😊
My personal favourite couts are Swords and Cups. I feel they're probably my favourites because I am very much an intellectually curious person but having had mental health struggles and trauma in my life I am deeply emotional and value emotions HIGHLY, they're clues to what's going on with our minds and I love going down each and every emotional rabbit hole to find out what mental stuff lays behind it. Or vice versa! I could use some more Wand energy in my life for sure, I can be a hardass. I can be pushy and stubborn. I can forget to let things go and have fun and accept that I won't understand everything. I don't NEED to understand everything! And, most of all... my loved ones don't need to constantly do the work I do.. hehe, yea that one is tough. I can definitely push the Shadow Work on others a bit thick.
Absolutely brilliant video. I’ve been learning tarot for the last 6 months and feel like I can learn soo much from you!! To help me with the courts I try and imagine a friend or relative that reflects that court personality. Thank you again x
This was absolutely fantastic. It so matches up with how I read. I would love to hear your interpretation of the 2 and 3 of wands. I struggle a bit with these two cards. Much love and blessed Yule.
Wow..thank you for this lesson -- thinking of it as 4yrs of Uni I can totally visualize this and understand the struggles through each year. I found the page of wands kind of sounds like a squirrel (all over the place) what was also interesting is that the queen of pentacles has a baby and the queen of cups has a child..could that be the progression of growth in things? I very much resonated with cups (all that was said is mentioned very often in my work supervisions lol)) and secondly with wands ...love this deck and again thank you for sharing -- happy yule
Haha, LOVE Page of Wands as a squirrel. Yesss, a fiery little squirrel, darting around. I think the children with the queens may both represent a sense taking on the responsibility of passing on their skill - Queen of Pents in a more pragmatic way to promote survival and strong roots; Queen of Cups in an emotionally supportive way, nurturing and caretaking. I also think of BOTH children as the potential symbol of the inner child of both of these queens, rather than their actual children. I would personally like to see some children depicted with Kings sometimes too. I feel a suspicion about stereotyping by including the Mother trope with the Queens which I don't like - the Kings can equally be seen as purveyors of wisdom and support to children, so I wish that was depicted more.
@@kelly-annmaddox that would be amazing if children were depicted with the kings.. It would bring about a missing balance that could possibly deepen a reading, and make one think about that balance that it's not just feminine, but masculine as well 😊 Thank you again for a wonderful lesson(hope that made sense)
Thank you Kelly-Ann.. great video for teaching tarot. This is a very big favourite deck of mine.. The Dreaming Way. Love this.. Blessings to you.. ❤❤❤❤✨✨✨✨
Looking at the court of pentacles, I noticed the characters looking almost hypnotized by the symbol of material possession. Surrounded by nature, probably making their fortune selling wine, forgetting to enjoy the beauty surrounding them and having a dionysiussian experience getting a bit buzzed themselves.
I've always loved tarot since I was a child I've learned so much since following you three years ago I have watched your videos when you were teaching how to read tarot and learned so much ❤
Glad its helped you on your journey, we're so happy people get a lot out of these resources and comments like this always bring a smile to our faces. 🥰 - Dani 🦡
this was an incredibly useful and interesting session, full of valuable insights. I love the court cards and enjoying learning about them and this gave me fresh perspectives on them. I would LOVE to hear your take what court cards resonate with any pop culture characters or historical figures, characters from books/film etc. Thank you, it was wonderful to sit and have a cuppa with your fine self!
Aww, it's always lovely to see your name come up, doll. 😋🥰😍 So glad you enjoyed the video. I am sure I'll do more with the Court in the future. I am definitely getting my mojo back when it comes to making Tarot vids. X
This is an incredible lesson!! I missed all the tarot lessons so greatly. So happy to see magic and tarot back on the channel ❤❤ thank you

How do you know which to read, between the good or the shadow aspect?
Spread positions and/or intuition. I use both.
