Dexter Cattle For Sale!

Too many cows and calves! The pasture area on our farm is only about 20 acres and with the sheep and pigs we just don't have enough space for the number of cattle we have at the moment. So, we are selling off some cow calf pairs and some yearling heifers.

So far it has been good. We’ve been dry for the last few weeks, but it looks like we might get a good shot of rain coming up. Hopefully we just keep getting the timely rains.

How much do you get for a heifer w / calf . ?

We sold the cow/calf pairs for $1,400 I believe (you’d think I’d easily remember). I think we will see some more, but we need to pick them out. Or possibly some 2 year old cows.
