Dude anyway you cut it you have to spend some serious money to get the chance to get good stuff I love the game but omg the gambling system still sucks and always will.
I've actually gotten some nice stuff with the free contraband coupons, including two progressive skins (Cyber Threat Mk.12 & Atlantis DBS), so I definitely appreciate you always pointing this out...however I've never gotten any schematics in the free crates so unless I spend $$$ there's no sure way to upgrade them. Was really hoping they'd make some much needed changes to the contraband system with this update, because as it is now schematics are next to impossible to get if you're a strictly a f2p player. I still think it's a joke that you essentially get nothing for trading in epic battlestat skins. Since you get 3 schematics for scrapping a progressive skin, it'd be fair to get 1 schematic for scrapping a battlestat skin but i'll be damned if i'll scrap a battlestat skin for only 200 polymers.
I have got many schematics and polymers through the valhalla slr crate. Just go in the different crates and check the % on schematics and such. The last two crates have upped the drops on those. In fact I got 5 schematics on a free 10 coupon 3 days ago, although I think the chances are more on 2 schematics etc.
@@RestinbeatsMusic Ok, just because you've been lucky with the schematics from contraband coupons doesn't change the fact that generally as a f2p if you're lucky enough to get a progressive skin it's still hard if not next to impossible to upgrade it without spending a little bit of money. As C Dome has stated many times, the CONtraband crates and the way we have to level progressive skins is nothing short of a cash grab scam by greedy game devs...i mean that's pretty friggin obvious when they troll people by putting Tick Tock M4s and Gold Plate AKMs as gold crate drops, if that's not a big enough slap in the face they'll do you one better by offering a measly 200 polymers for any scrapped battlestat skins, the same 200 polymers they give you for the Tick Tock M4 or Gold Plate AKM.
I totally agree with you It's not like I'm oblivious to the system they run. But when people are buying It they are probably not gonna change It. And I'm not defendig the CONtranband system. I got really lucky with some cs go gloves that funded my Chinese new year skins (sks,m4,beryl and the pan). So I know very well the upgrade system Is a total scam and runs you down with real cash. All I'm saying Is It has become easier to obtain schematics with the recent crates. There are several drops for each of schematics and polymers now. Plus the ugly ass chroma skins (I got the mk12 and salvaged the chroma, same for beryl) because they seem to be giving you the chroma skins easier, so you will grind for the progressive one. Either that or I have just been lucky on that one as well. The chroma skins gave me a fair amount of polymers and schematics. Plus I get tons of free coupons through missions, login events and such. And you can see In the cdome video the free ones can also give you gold items. It's easier to obtain nowdays, but I'm not by far saying It's fair. I totally agree with you

Having come from H1Z1 , going through alpha pubg and supporting the game all this way even while they mismanaged the game, introduced bots and allowed hackers to run rampant. I honestly feel insulted and beyond disgusted by what this game has become. Its pretty obvious the chinese have gotten their fingers into krafton somewhere along the line.

Easy too point the finger only at them when you have a market, that actually for cheaters on a game with no auto aim etc. I can see if it was call of booty. But on console you cant detect people usings strikepacks. But unlike you I will admit, They have come a long way back from the brink of hacking/cheating×death. Too making the game playable again. You can easy spot out hackers now, and they have been banning accounts at a higher clip than usual. The game is playing again unlike H1z1 where the Dev's let that game go to holy hell. And you feel bad for the gamers who still find their way onto that self nuked planet of the apes H1z1 game. " You Maniacs, You blew it up, damn you all to hell." Left for dead game. ( Funny cause H1z1 last map has a giant ape head on the side of the map wall. 🎮😂)
I didn't spend a single penny and saved up all the coupons and tokens. Ended up getting two gold pulls but unfortunately it was a chroma for the Beryl and 1 schematics.. I need the progressive skin for the Beryl T_T

EDIT* 1h later I opened 9 more free contrabands and got both Beryl and Beryl Chroma . I'm still loosing my mind. I have the worst luck ever . This event has blessed me beyond my imagination.

Just want to add C i think its best to open crates one at a time mate,i seem to have better luck this way then IF you get what your looking for in the first haf a dozen or so crates then you stop and wait for next week mate :) Thats how i go,btw your black market run was amazing you got some of the best outfits in the game! and those x4 Primes in a row was sweet!

Without buying anything(didn't even buy premium pass) using tokens bought loot cache in that got a prime parcel and in that i got gear head. But the problem is I don't have 20,000 credits so all bp is going get used for hunter cases

Last night I got the progressive trick or treat chroma for free, and right after that opened a hideout and got the base trick or treat, disassembled some outfits and crafted it for 20k. So basically I got that for free

I bought that 6700 gcoin bundle in the Aston pass. Got the same car from the battle pass. Put in a ticket and they told me to get lost. Wouldn’t recommend buying crates to anyone, it’s a scam.

What i need though is Polymer and Schematics to upgrade the Beryl but i wish i had gotten the Aug Skin cuz im not the Beryl Type of Guy. 😅

Sad thing is, when they first introduced cosmetic and weapon skins to the game they could be traded...they removed that feature to control the market since people were trading them on 3rd party marketplaces like Skinport for real world money, it left a lot of people pissed because if you had your skins listed on a 3rd party site and they were sitting in a trade bot inventory, then the skins were locked and couldn't be retrieved...it's a shame, the old PUBG economy functioned similarly to CS & TF2.

@@Ickie71 Actually that is right, I bought PUBG from the very beginning when it was still in Alpha development. When they first introduced loot boxes, hence wearable cosmetics and weapon skins...everything from those loot boxes including the loot boxes themselves was marketable (meaning it could be sold on the Steam marketplace) and tradeable (meaning you can trade with friends or sell the skins on 3rd party sites).
About a year or so after they introduced the loot boxes they removed the trade feature from said items, however they did leave them marketable on the Steam Marketplace...however, with those changes they now control the skins in the game and gain financially regardless, even those items sold on the Steam Market generate revenue for PUBG devs. I used to be big into buying/selling/trading CSGO, TF2, and PUBG items and can tell you a lot of people got burned when they removed the trade feature, a lot of items ended up locked in trade bot inventories as a result.
Bottom line, PUBG devs have always been greedy so the CONtraband crates and the way we have to level up the progressive skins should come as no surprise to anyone who has played the game long enough.
