Awesome review! Im an S6 user. I also noticed some limitations on the F6 when shooting in 4k at higher VFR cropping it down to APSC. Full frame wasn't a deal breaker for me but to each their own preference and needs. Subbed!

We got this camera for 2 weeks and we returned it... I personally loved the form factor,EF mount and full frame sensor as all my glass is Sigma ART EF mount,i use the same glass on my Sony cinema cameras sp 2 in 1. Me and my partners had so many issues especially the file handling and crops on all important modes... We invested slightly more for a Sony FX9 and i can see the difference by huge margin. I would buy it again if Z cam fix the issues
Great review! the internal audio not sound good, but i dont understand if that audio was recorded from the camera or not. So can i trust in the internal audio? because i like the camera but i need a one shooter syle, dont want to have an audio recorder too
Thanks :) the audio bug is fixed with the firmware update 0.96 and yes the audio is very good with rode videomics and sennheiser portable lavalier set.
With the firmware update 0.96 audio bugs are fixed. there is decent rolling shutter in 4k & 6k but more noticeable in 5k anamorphic mode. Z Cam added a low jelly mode in 4K APSC mode with a good performance.
In the Video you saw the ronin-s with the Smallrig DJI ronin-s extension baseplate and 2 x 200g counterweights. You need the counterweights if you use lens like the Tamron 24-70 with nucleus nano :)

Oh wait wait wait! Zcam states it only records in H.264/H.265 internally and in 4.2.0. That sucks, if you dont do simple stuff for Facebook. But you have an external SSD, is it that simple? Get an SSD and therefore its external and all of a sudden its ProRes422? I hate CFast cards and if I can ditch that for an SSD, thats super. This might be a deal breaker. I hope they fix that delay though. Would really appreciate a reply, I'm selecting between a A7S3, ZCAM E2 F6, and a Kinefinity Mavo LF.
Every SSD I have tried errors on this camera. T5 and T7 SSD drives seem to be too slow. Is that SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD you have on your rig ideal and what resolutions can you use with that SSD?
I use the sandisk extreme Portable SSD and it works super smooth in all resolutions. It could be the T5 & T7 gets too hot with Z Cam. I never used it. Or try to change the usb-C cable as stupid it sounds but sometimes it helps 😅 because of this I don’t use my tilta 90degree usb-c cable anymore I had some slow card errors with this cable. ✌🏼

Hi Christopher, du kannst das file splitting von 5 bis auf 60min stellen. Meins hab ich auf 10min gestellt, da falls der Akku leer ist nur der letzte Split fragmentiert ist. Du kannst problemlos lang aufnehmen. Mit 1TB SSD bei 4K25fps kannst du über 8h durchlaufen lassen.
with the 0.96 firmware update the video delay is almost gone and works very nice with any monitor and if you switch to Raw recording with the Atomos Ninja V there is no video delay :)
Sir my BIGGEST Question is SHOULD i get bmpcc6k or zcam e2 s6 or zcam e2 f6. For FILMMAKING my brain is telling me ho for bmpcc6k because everything from price to performance it is excellent, but the form factor , is not so good and as you said z raw doesn't work on any editing software , and for Apple proress raw we have to invest in a external Monitor. What do i do please help me out i am a beginner filmmaker. 😭
Hey Avinash, the first camera should not be the most expensive one :) it depends a bit of what projects you want to shoot with your camera RIGHT NOW. With bmpcc6k you have a ready to shoot camera and after a while you can invest in SSD, longer power solutions and maybe even a field monitor for low and high angle stuff. But if you need high framerates in 4K and mounting flexibility for now I would say go for z cam E2F6 with a cheaper monitor or use your smartphone with the app as a monitor. To focus on 12Bit raw is a pretty high standard to start filmmaking maybe you don’t really need it right now for your projects. There is not an all perfect camera, don’t overthink it :) go for it and create
You don’t need to shoot in raw. In fact most people use pro res raw if they have the atomos ninja v and if they don’t then it seems to be pro res 4:2:2. Don’t let converting files be a downside into getting this camera. It has an amazing quality and a very great dynamic range. The camera is worth it!

Until now it doesn't work with the latest premiere and z cam firmware. But if you know how it works pls share it :)

I have tried the plugin for z cam and it does not work in Adobe premiere because it gives generic error and also the zcam suite keeps crashing

I have a Zcam e2 4k. I usually shoot with prores 422 HQ but I can notice pink color tint at highlight part. What should I do to avoid this?
Check if you have updated to firmware 0.96

There is a ZlogColor plug-in for your NLE and it could be that the „saturation correction“ function fix your problem.

Hey mate since the new firmware update (0.98) the z cam e2 is able to record ProRes 422 in all resolutions on SSD & Cfast :)

Is it possible to use 4/3 lens on the full frame camera??? Then utilise the crop mode in the camera???
Yes you can activate a sensor crop mode to APSC. And I think you can get a separate micro4/3s Mount but not sure if you can film without vignetting.
