I use Promix fertilizers. I use a combination of the slow release amzn.to/3bOGHbE and water soluble amzn.to/3yHqtKu . There are amazon links in the description for the US and Canada if you'd like to check them out further.
Thanks for the great explanations . I love petunias...I find them to be the one dependable flower for our prairie weather to plant in any location and lots of pretty colors. Your splotches colored ones are so unique ! How fun The way you have the white ones planted in the pots....they look gorgeous !
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I really like those colour splashes as well. I assume there was some cross pollinating happening last year that affected my seed.
Your petunias are all so beautiful! I had no idea there were so many different varieties. I received a hanging basket for Mothers Day. I love it and don’t mind the deadheading!
Good-day Prairie Plantgirl! And Buster!🙂 Petunias are a yah for me.😃 Thanks to this informative post I think I will try the wave Petunia next year! 🙂 My Mom's-in-law cousin gave me her Petunia plant one summer. It was nearly dead and bounce back nicely. I didn't have any experience with Petunias then. That's when I found out about spider mites. It came through them too. Then we got that super freeze...we don't usually get such events so I didn't plan to move my plants into shelter. The Petunia was on a chair right outside the backdoor. It's north facing; however, it has its own microclimate. The ice hit and for over a week the plant was frozen. Its pretty blooms were encased in ice and I just knew once the ice melted I would find a dead plant!😔 The ice melted and that plant didn't skip a beat! It went on blooming well into the next summer! I'm not sure which Petunia it was. The blooms were like the smaller variety you showed us. My goodness, your baskes, arrangements and cut flower garden are a beautiful fireworks display of color!👍 Thanks for the knowledge!💕
Hello from Manitoba! I love petunias, especially the white ones…they almost glow at night. I plant them every year and I’m not great at getting out there to dead head.
Good morning nice tour what kind of fertilize do you use.

Some petunias are more frost hardy than others. It sounds like you had a really good one.

I love having white flowers in the yard to give that evening glow. White petunias are especially beautiful at night.
Hi could you tell me what brand or kind of fertilizer you use?
Promix is my go to, but I also will pick up the occasional jug of Alaska liquid fish fertilizer.
I have several of them and I don’t like dead head them so I just used scissor to cut them down 😆
Cutting back is a great way to give petunias a refresh
