I wish I’d seen this video before I had mine done. I’m 37 and at 24 percent ejection fraction, yay! Anyway, this was a spot on video. The medication they inject doesn’t last long. It’s about two minutes of hell but then it passes quickly. Don’t turn the Air Conditioning down until you get the medication because suddenly you’ll be so grateful for it and wanting more. Good video. God bless you all from across the pond.
I had one 15 months ago, at the cardiac centre. No pain, only slight discomfort. Resuts fascinating. If recommended medically, it would be really unwise to refuse the chance to have it. The staff could have not been kinder or more skillful. To see a hologram of your heart is out of this world. I can't imagine how or why it can be described as a " horrible " test. Be2lieve me, I will have another if needed, at any time.
Just had one at the Cleveland Clinic. It was amazing, interesting and fun. I was to put in hear buds and listen to classic music from my smart phone list. 30 minutes in total. The second test in the scan was the rapid heart rate. It was like running . Deep breathing and rapid heart rate. Felt like I was running or swimming. No problems at all.
Going for one of these next week. Been experiencing chest pain lately. Im only 33. My cardiologist wants to check everything is functioning as it should be. I asked will this mri show any blockages in coronary arteries. He says he will be able to tell if there are blockages indirectly. Does anyone know what he meant?
Hi Janet. If you are worried about an upcoming scan or have some questions, it is best to get in touch with your GP or with the number on your appointment letter.
I had a normal MRI scan on my heart today with contrast, it was really awful for me, my face and arm was hot (probably from contrast) and i really struggled through it.

I'm nervous about having it but like John mentioned below, it would be unwise to refuse the chance to have it!

How'd you feel from the meds that speed up your heart rate?
