That is amazing! Oh yes! Vanilla ice cream would be fabulous on that! I’m going to try this tonight. I have a can of apple pie filling. I think JR would love this! Thanks for sharing with us. Have a blessed weekend, Rhoda. ❤️🙏
Simple and delicious. I am definitely making this, with blue berries. Your mama sure is a good cook Rhoda. And by the way....your skin is so flawless. Not a wrinkle or pore to be found. I'm sure THATS from mama too. 😉😉 Tell mom thanks for the recipe, and the 10 extra pounds 😂😂 Blessings my friend.
Thank you! It's lighting.. that's all. 🤣 So bright, no wrinkle can be seen! I was a scrawny little girl. She was probably trying to find ways to fatten me up! All that stuff has caught up with me now. She will love hearing your comment. Thank you! I pray you like it. We did! God bless you, Susan 😊🙏
Hello, just confirming that's regular BUTTER, that you using not, unsalted? Thank you for sharing the recipe w/us..it looks really good. Happy (early) Christmas! Bless you & yours!!
Unable to cook this when intended. So I decided today I could because I finally got the pie filling opted for cherry instead of the peaches that I said I would do. I got on my laptop to look up the video and got distracted, and would you believe a notification came through with a like from my previous comment. It was meant to be. I got distracted but the Lord put me right back on track. I just finished making it and it came out delish! I must add that my cherry filling came in a packet, they didn't have the canned one, and didn't look like quite enough so I added about the half of a frozen diced banana.. Sister Rhoda God bless you for such wonderful, cost effective , simple yet super delicious recipes. 💯💔
Oh, that's great! It sounds so delicious the way you did it, too! Yum!! I think I've had every type of fruit in this recipe but never banana or pineapple. Someone else did pineapple. My goodness! I love it when you can make it your own recipe. God bless you Sara! 😊
This is the same recipe I use for my peach cobbler except. My mom made it with the 1,1,1 mixture in a 9 x9 pan so since my family is a little larger, I use 1 1/2s in the mixture with a large can of sliced peachers in a 9 x 13 pan. Thanks for the video, GOD bless...
I haven't tried pineapple. I will now! That sounds delicious! We put in all kinds of fruit. The old original recipe just says fruit. Not pie filling. My momma just liked pie filling. I would make sure it's drained well.
Yum yum! Definitely Christmas worthy! So good! 😊
Thank you! 😊
We call this cobbler. Yumm
Miss Rhoda- you know all the good ole recipes! Nom nom nom nom! 😋
I like those old flavorful recipes. Brings back my childhood. YUM! 😊
I finally made this today. It's so scrummy!!
Awesome! ❤️

That looks amazing!!! Since I have a can of cherry pie filling I will make this for dessert tomorrow. Tfs. Hugs friend 😊
Let me know how you liked it. I know it's best served warm. I should've said that in the video. I forgot. Thank you, and God bless you, Sally 😊

Love to see your comment Shelley! No complaints from me. All is good. God bless you and I hope you like it! It was our favorite dessert as kids.
Your recipes are always so easy and no doubt delicious. I'm thinking peaches, will let you know how it turned out. Happy Sunday; blessings.
Thank you so much. 😊 We always eat it warm. I forgot to mention that. God bless you.
we know this as lazy girl's pie
That's funny! I can see it being lazy girl pie. It's super easy.
🌟blessings for the Christmas season!
Thank you 😊

You can use salted or unsalted. Whatever you prefer. Thank you, and God bless you 😊 Merry Christmas!
I would salted butter. Butter always balances out the sweetness in desserts! This easy dessert looks soooooo good! And I LOVE cherries! ❤

Awesome! Yes, that sounds great! I've used peaches a lot in my recipe, but my momma liked cherry. God bless you 😊
Can you skip the butter? That's a dollar right there.
@kathymurphy4721 it's super sticky. I'm not sure.
Will this work with canned pineapple? I know pineapple will not work on something’s. Jello is one. Jello has a hard time setting with pineapple.

I got this recipe years ago, it was called Lazy Girl Pie.
I've been told that from someone else too. My grandmother called it poor man's pie.
@@PeaceBstill it's so good, it doesn't matter what it's called. I love it with peaches and also blueberries.
@@kathyrama4570 I agree 😊
