it took this season and the possibility of Frank being dead forever to make me finally realize how much I'd miss his presence, how I actually really liked seeing him around and how important he is to the story despite the lack of sympathy people have for him... whatever William praised about Frank is absolutely true: his sense of humour and his strive of hardwork even if it's all for the wrong reasons. and the last sentences made me smile because it's his direct approval of Shameless as a show and the process of acting on it: "I wasn't sure about being in a series, but I ADORE it. I get to act every day and I actually like acting."
The secret to the success has nothing to do with the writers or the actors/actresses .... why doesn't anyone realize this? The success to this show is that there are MANY poor families that have to deal with this kind of shit. The economy is in such terrible shape that this is starting to become the norm. People falling into substance abuse because of the severe depression and hopelessness they deal with because they can't afford to live. This is real life people.
i just finished s.7 and cried like a baby. was relieved to hear of 8. Thats tough where does this narrative go? i have to trust the writers, actors, directors, actors. am scared to see it. yet i can't wait.i really did cry. way too much. frank and monica. where will frank go???
JM's Steve is much more likable than the American version. I find this version of the character to be more of a slime ball. It's not bad, but just different.
He's a fantastic actor.

It is based on a british series of the same name. The british series is what Launched James Mcavoy's career.
