Lyrics:
Kung tunay man ang nadarama mo
Mayro'n akong nais malaman mo
Ang aking puso ay iyung-iyo
'Wag sanang lumimot sa pangako
Pangako, hindi kita iiwan
Pangako, 'di mo pababayaan
Pangako, hindi ka na mag-iisa
Pangakong magmula ngayo'y tayong dalawa,
Pangako, hindi kita iiwan
Pangako, 'di mo pababayaan
Pangako, hindi ka na mag-iisa
Pangakong magmula ngayo'y tayong dalawa
Ang magkasama

I couldn't agree more. Her angelic voice perfectly fits Filipino language. It sounds so sexy that gives you chills over and over until the very last sound of her sweet voice. Ugghhhhh eargasm indeed.🤣
Nicole Scherzinger 😍😍😍👏👏👏
@@kingonefirts221 of course.. sino pa ba? She’s sung songs of different languages like most singers do.. Just listen to how she pronounce the word “iisa”, very evident na hindi siya tagalog speaker.
I don't speak Filipino but in this case it doesn't even matter because Nicole's emotions and vocals have touched my heart
Anyways, Pangako in english is Promise. 😊

Nicole Scherzinger finally sang in Tagalog 🇵🇭🙌🏻👏🏻
For someone whose native language isn’t tagalog, her pronunciation is really good and her diction is clear. She sounds so good.
Pretty sure she have learned tagalog when she's young talking to filipino relatives
Yep. Sarap pakinggan. Parang yung kay David Archuleta lang na "Nandito Ako". Hehe
Majority of Filipinos have a different native language. Native Tagalog speakers are in the minority.
Tagalog is the national language along with English. But majority of Filipinos aren't native Tagalog speakers because majority of Filipinos have their own provincial language. And I'm not taking anything away from the fact that Nicole did a good job.
The native languages of both the president and vice president of the Philippines are not Tagalog which again, proves my point. Yes, they sometimes use Tagalog just like majority of Filipinos but it isn't their native. I'm not attacking anyone. I was just pointing it out.
She’s a legit Filipina, her vocal chords express alot of emotions. She’s burning my nerves! I cried 😭😭💖💖💖💖
Galing noh! 🥰😇
Bruh chill with the cringe
Burning your nerves? HAAHHAHA

one comment here says she doesn't pronounce tagalog words as they should be.... here's my reply to you weirdo...She was born and raised in the US....her dad (that's where she got her Pinoy side) left them when she was 2 years old and you expect her to sing Tagalog song with an accent of a native?...pretty sure she doesn't even understand Tagalog or even eaten any Pinoy foods....lol...haters gonna hate...Kudos to Troy Laureta for making sure she pronounces Tagalog words as accurately as possible...

@@mchael1187 I think most people misunderstood her. She was the main vocalist. Though, l agree that the songs should have been equally given to each members as they are all singers, we could not deny the fact that she was just doing what she was asked to do. she's equally good as beyonce.
She has always been. She's so talented, watch her episodes too sa dancing with the stars... (If I'm not mistaken)

@@micasabanal3392 lol. If you read the comments, may nagcomment na nashock sya na mataas pala boses ni Nicole.
what amazes me with nicole is she has no american accent singing this song at all. she sounded so Pinoy you wouldn't know it's her. Simply great!
A little English accent only. It's very subtle.
dinig parin ahh
Nayon ang dinig ko sa ngayon but it is a great interpretation. Galeng
If you listen closely, the way she pronounces the Os in some words is still quite rounded, the vowel comes out sounding like OW rather than OH. It's very subtle actually (pa-NGA-kow vs pa-NGA-koh). Also, the consonants T and K sounds tend to hit the ear on the soft side, it doesn't pop and is not as crisp. The best representation I can some up with is TA-HA (soft) vs TTA (sharp snap) ? Nicole also pronounces succeeding vowels as diphthongs in some words, not always though, such as I-I-SA to EeeSA. She does a great job with the NNGG sound though, which is a difficult inflection to make from someone trying to learn the language even just for conversation. Not a huge deal in the end, but noticeable if you're looking for it. But nothing can touch the vocal quality of the performance. It's a wonderful cover.
Yes ung consonant phonemes nya filipino accent... ung ilang vowels lang mejo meron pa pero very subtle .. very professional to study correct sounds... galing
Nicole is slaying the song, she sounded like its so clean, she pronounce it really well ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Holy shoot, I wonder how many times Nicole practiced this song since I can't hear even a slight american accent. Kudos.
I can hear it. Pero ang galing galing tlga nya
Halata mo... Esp.. "ngayoy" pero sabi mo nga hindi halata 😂

It's actually there, hehe. But pretty darn good for a first time singing in a language that's new to you.
@@jovanessavf164 I guess she is not fluent with Tagalog but I've seen before sa interview nya na she grows up listening to Lea Salonga's songs since half pinay naman sya.

Waiting for the Music Video. Who's with me? 😍
Nicole’s voice texture is like that of Kuh Ledesma!!!! Full and velvety. I’m sooo impressed!!!! She should come to the Philippines and do a solo concert. 😊
She is one of the best singers coming from a girl group...who would have thought that a singer from a dance group can really sing like this.....
That’s because she comes from theater. She went to a performing arts high school, was a musical theater major in college, and worked as a backing singer for a rock band before she went the popstar route. She has a strong singing foundation unlike most popstars.
Please ! Nicole was classically trained and majored in theatre and performing arts.

She's not, she learnt for the song
She is not fluent in Tagalog
She's not. You can tell by her pronunciation, but still, she did a good job. Nicole and Celine Dion are my very favorite singers.
One can feel her emotion while she was singing this, a vivid mark of a true Filipino singer, yet she grew up in the US.

The woman of versatility that is Nicole,
You’re giving more reason why I’m loving you since PCD days 😍
Finally, an eagle came home to its nest. She's so proud of her root.. So am I. ♥️♥️♥️
Choosing these foreign singers to sing all these OPM songs was Sir Troy's best decision. It's actually hard for them knowing that Filipino is not their language. But, they took the challenge. And, for that, a huge thanks to them for supporting Sir Troy. Anyway, as Filipinos, we all know that each OPM song that they've chosen was sang beautifully by the original Filipino artists but it can't be denied that when they sang it in their own rendition, each song has become even more beautiful. The emotion was there and they took it to the next level. Very powerful yet it's still pleasant enough to the ear. And, just like Nicole, the rest of these foreign singers also deserve a million views or more as per their performances. Hands down to all of them❤
Anyway she is filipina
What an incredible rendition of a Filipino song .Nicole is so fantastic.
tama po kayo sir
It gives me goosebumps not because of the fact that she sang a filipino song but the way she sang it and her voice really makes me proud of my ethnicity. It is indeed that we Filipinos have great singers.
We have but we are not one 😅
We got tons of great singers everywhere and Nicole is one of them! The Philippines won't run out of great vocalists. 🙂
I really wish she got the recognition she deserves.. 😕🥺
those people who dislike this video have no emotions, no sense of hearing, no art and definitely no talent. this is such a master piece. she pronounce every Filipino word perfectly. She has an insanely amazingly beautiful voice ever since, her Filipino blood can't be deny. I've been her biggest fan since my school days. So proud of her! 😍😍😍
Maybe there were other reasons that we couldn’t tell. I myself didn’t like the autotune at the latter chorus but overall I was just amazed that she could sing OPM. But let not these dislikes affect you ‘cause they were just a small portion of all the views which means mas marami pa ring sumusupotta kay Nicole...
plot twist, they are just hater of ABS-CBN.

I found this much emotional than the other versions (exempting original).
Her voice has something like magic that speaks louder, speaks its emotions and releasing all the messages that "maybe" all songs wants to tell us. Now, while I am writing this, I am teary eyed, as I made promise to someone, but I ended up brokenhearted for a very unknown reason as I got no answer.
Nagulat ako sa pagbasa ng first sentence but then you mentioned "exempting original" hehe!

There is a reason why Nicole is an international singer. She has a good TONE. I mean, Regine is a POWERHOUSE VOCALIST but what Hollywood needs are musicians who have a beautiful, unique and, distinctive voice. For example, Britney Spears, she's not a VOCAL TITAN but her baby voice is so ICONIC. Charice is the only Filipina who has a distinctive tone.
I like your insights but for distinct tone, I would say, Kuh Ledesma had it among Filipina singers; in rock, there was Sampaguita; 2000s, indie rocker Cynthia Alexander and more current one, I'd say Ryssi. I like tone more than powerhouse vocals. For tone, my other favorites are Norah Jones, Cyndi Lauper, The Cranberries' Dolores, Whitney Houston, Rickie Lee Jones. Edit: Forgot to add Lea Salonga.
Is Lea Salongga a joke to you dear? HAHAHAHA
@@darylcanas6140 How can I forget Lea!
