I love the fact that Pia Toscano spent some time to learn the Filipino /t/. While many foreign singers who have had a cover of one or two Tagalog songs did them great, Pia didn't forget to learn how to enunciate the letters in the Filipino/Tagalog alphabet properly. She did amazing and she gave justice to the song! What a remarkable performance! ❤️👏💯

@@gelatolover8156 not about the lexicon my dear, it is about the accent neutrality. If Pia didn't know how the phonemes are in Italian, she could have sound differently on this. My focus was on the phonetic knowledge than the semantic or lexical side. 😊 If you will learn Italian speech, you can coz your native tongue will facilitate most of the small units called phonemes. It is hard to explain further coz it is more on Morpho 😊

If she speaks Italian, pronouncing Tagalog words won't be too difficult except for the "ng" sound. She did great.
In some parts of the song like in the middle, if I don't look at the video, I might misidentify the singer to be Filipino. There are just some portions that are lacking bits of "hardness" in pronouncing. Much appreciation for the effort of learning how to pronounce the language. She gave justice to the music. :)

I can imagine how much training Pia did to sound "filipino" in every word, kudos! The arrangement of the song is similar to that of Regine's rendention few years ago and it suits her well. Hoping to see both amazing singers singing the same song in the future. 😊

I think that is the true power of Pia Toscane, she performs every song from her soul. I don’t understand this language but I feel the emotion it conveys. Other songs she sang that have been covered by either the original artist or global famous performer, are standing in the shady purely because the conviction Pia has in her voice. I’m amazed that she’s not a global famous artist.
