  • In this video I show you how I replaced my existing whole house Cuno water filter with a two stage AO Smith system. I cut out all of the old copper pipe and replaced everything with PEX. I go over my filter selection and bringing the system back online step by step.

curious about the change of water pressure between the before filters to after, im running a well and considering doing this however my water pressure is much lower so i worry about how much it will drop. Thank you for the video

Welcome and thanks for watching. Even after about 3 weeks now the differential pressure between the two is maybe 4psi

Hey what’s a “PRV”? How often do the filters need to be cleaned and/or replaced? GREAT VIDEO!

PRV is pressure reducing valve. Having water pressure this high can cause water hammer (pipes banging). For filter replacement, it's recommended every few months but that all depends on usage. There's 5 of us in this house so I'll probably monitor the condition of the filters and change accordingly. They are cheap enough and to have cleaner water is definitely worth the extra money changing them more frequently.
