Thanks Sam, The sleeve had me stumped till I see what you did for seeing which is front & back. The top turned out lovely in off white supper linen for summer.
You're welcome, I can't see why you couldn't lengthen it, just make sure that you have enough room at the hips, it's pretty straight doen from the bust, so you may need to make it moe A-line depending on your hip size
I made this and found that doing the final stitching of binding made the pleats spread open and almost disappear. I had to secure the fold further down and pin it before adding the binding so that I would still have the pleats after the binding was attached.
Hi Sam, really enjoying your channel, so helpful. I could be really wrong, but think I remember you saying you use a Mac computer, if you do, did you you must have managed to use adobe reader on it. I've tried a few times to use adobe on my Mac, but have had to uninstall it 2 or 3 times as I can't switch off the 2 sided print option, so every PDF I've tried to print has been useless as printed on both sides - any ideas please? xxx
Hi Maria, so glad you're enjoying the channel. Yes I use a Mac & have Adobe installed. That's so frustrating! Have you tried actually downloading the document 1st before printing? Sometimes trying to print without downloading does strange things to the document. Once downloaded re open & then go into your printer settings - there should be an option then to print 2 sided or not - it may be hidden within advanced settings/properties. Unfortunately, all printers are different, so it's difficult to diagnose. Give that a go 1st & if it doesn't work maybe try googling your printer type with the term printing 2 sided (or something like that) more often than not someone will have had the same issue & it will have been resolved. Hope that you find a resolution & thank you so much for watching & commenting 🙏
Hi Sam, thank you for this video. I am a beginner and trying to make this pattern. You mentioned something about using the other method to bind the neckline that would make it slightly bigger. Can you pls tell me how. I am finding the neckline a little bit tight when trying to put it on. Thank you!
@@Frugalisama hi Sam, I know you've been bz 🙂 and glad that you are back. I finished it without altering anything and I managed to get it on and off. It was just a teeny weeny bit tight but still manageable to get on and off without much struggle. Thanks for replying and love your videos. 😍
I really love that top and would love to make it! I am really struggling to access the patterns! It keeps telling mr the server can’t be found! So keen to see the tutorial on how to access it! It seems a great stash buster! and looks super comfy for the sort of weather we’re having atm❤️ Great tutorial 👍
Frugalisama No but my OH is going to have a look at our virus checker to see whether or not it is blocking the website! 👍😁 Update - now been able to access having changed some settings on my Mac 😁😁👍
Thanks Sam - great tips especially the bias binding 👍🏴
Glad you found it useful Mags, it's a method I'd forgotten about & useful to have when you don't have all the gadgets 😊
Thanks Sam. You’re a really good teacher. Lots of great tips too👍
