This set is so so good, they need to do a full concert like that. They go in so many different places with these jams. Thank You kind Sir.@@ReflectorDetector
Looking for guidance here. Been a deadhead since the early 80s. Toured from 86 to 92. Listened to every incarnation of the Grateful Dead. Including The Other Ones, The Dead, Ratdog, Phil and Friends, Billy and the Kids, Dead and Company, and Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. Listen to JRAD, JGB, Stu Leonard and the Mars Hotel, etc. Seen all the above bands live, MANY times. Now, I know deadheads that love Phish, and that hate Phish. Here's the dilemma. I have never sat down and listened to Phish, or seen them live. Am I missing out???
That’s an awesome story and journey. I went the opposite and got into GD after being into Phish. In my opinion the main reason Deadheads might have a problem with Phish because both band had different influences. Phish was essentially a Prog Rock (Bar Band) band with a whole slew of different influences who were a generation removed from GD. With that being said Trey and the band were influenced by GD and Jerry. Check out this mix I made of them covering the band over the years th-cam.com/video/myi46t7Bsb4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uYBZ5m8ssOuHlsOo Keep in mind they have a different style of playing. Bob Weir plays with them as well on a couple songs. Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, the jams went to some really interesting areas this summer with some interesting choices for jam vehicles as well.
