Nice looking setup. Good backup. I bought a nightcat about a year ago and have never used it. Mainly because of weight. It's great that it can be used a bivy or hammock but it's lighter to pack a seperate bivy and a hammock. Glad you had a spare rainfly! Great one mate, I will be delicate when I finally try the nightcat
@@outofbounds2022 it's still good as a hammock with mozzy net , it was the rain fly that let it down. And yes be really careful when tightening the rain fly, mine ripped from the top of the door, so if you can find a way of strengthening the seams that may solve the issue. 😉👍
Yours could be an earlier version, the new ones have an issue with tearing apparently, I looked at some reviews on Amazon, and people have had the same issue as me.
@darkknightcamping1981 I do have an older one. Mine doesn't have the extra sleeve for the mat for example and was made with the old logo. That's a bummer that the new version are worse than the old ones
Nice one, mate, some decent looking spots down there

I'm curious on how it failed. I have used mine for 2 years on different stealthcamps and I am,glad with it as hammock and tent.

@@oldirtybeuner from what I can gather from others, it's due to weak seams around the door, its prone to tearing along the top.
I was sent one last year for testing, I was not impressed to be honest. Don't like the design and its not long enough.
Just subbed to you, and yeah I am glad it happened now and not in winter when I was going to really test it out, really disappointed in it.
@@darkknightcamping1981 not like its cheap either. Thanks for the sub.
