I had a couple of financial windfalls recently and allowed myself extra free reign on coining but I am acutely aware I have an addictive personality and mustn't get used to it because those financial winfalls are rare. FWIW I do use the daily Memberships etc and find that for little outlay they keep things trickling along so I don't feel the sudden need to catch up

When I started playing the gaming, i had the same issue with stamina and i bought a few packs as well but i haven't bought any pack in 6 months and i actually enjoy the grind. I've been playing over a year and I'm VIP 11. Hopefully this video gets to a lot more players so the developers can concentrate on improving gaming experience rather than exploiting the players. I've stopped coining after K27. It's not necessary if you do it right and if you should coin, just coin the stamina packages available only during monster events.

I am a low spender in this game. I put myself on a budget for most everything in my life because I do not have a huge salary. I have to manage my time and my income. In managing my time...I plan my week on...work time, family time, health time and my entertainment time. Same concept with money....I have a few dollars a week I'm willing to spend for my entertainment time. It works out to be about $35 a week. That is what I us for evony. That is what I can afford. Some times I save it up for a big pack. Other times I use it for a few small packs. With a budget...I don't chase what the other guy is doing. I go after what will help me in the current phase of my development. Right now I'm looking to build a good inventory of generals. So I spend on the super sale pack for 20, advanced journey 4 and dawn of Civilization 4. So far I have picked up a few good pvp generals, debuff generals and rally leader general(Alexander as an example). I will not mention the crap ones...but I consider them a source of gold for doing research. That is my budget...hope it helps others...
Being a new player (3mo) I spent my first $20 at around k14 and Evony was like "you got this and this and that and here's a weekend package event you won and here's a general etc." as a reward for 'reaching a reward goal'. What a rush! It is a rush you have to mold into your thinking process like battlefield. Evony is like a casino - you walk in and it is gambling everywhere - patrolling, spinning the wheel, tavern generals, battlefield shop, black market, monster drops! The contrast is the packs. Nice and comfy where you don't have to be a good luck charm and know what you get for how much and always there for you. See. Manipulation. Before, my alliance members were treating coining like it was taboo - never sharing about it in chat and some were making admissions they spent uncontrollably (and way before our server even had full access to battlefield and svs nonetheless). Keep up the great work AKA. You are always giving me ideas to share and spread around to my team-mates and they REALLY appreciate you.
Yeah, you are right. Coining in Evony is designed to give you a rush. Particularly if you have been grinding for a while and then you buy something. You will instantly realize how much stuff you have gained “just like that!” 😄 Unfortunately, it is easy to get carried away. Spent $15 just going from 28 to 28.75. I spent $1-$5 to k16..then $5 here or thereon speedups and ore etc getting to k27. But i gotta put limits cause it is starting to require way more gas to advance.
I have learned recently I love to coining part. This is the first game I've every coined, and it was after I got zero'd the first time. What a huge mistake.
The bottom line: Don't play games like Evony. Or play Evony for most of your current free time (lifetime). And spend 95% of your time in the game doing the same things: # Gathering # Research # Join Rallies # Start Rallies # Same Daily Tasks every day All of that for what? To waste your time? And to waste some or a lot of money?
Just quit, save your money and your time. Beat the addiction. If you're not a regular coiner, you have no chance of ever beating the big spenders. The big spenders are rich (by rich I mean they're making 6 or more figure salaries, so spending a few hundred every week wouldn't affect them) so they can get around their addiction, but most people will hit a wall once they've eaten into their savings and don't have anymore money to burn.
For my comeback to Evony I said I wouldn't coin. Period. Oh well. 😢 When I saw the stats on Theodora I broke down and spent the $5 to get her for all 6 alt accounts. Then there was a sale on the crystal cave for $2 instead of $20. Bought for all 7 accounts. There have been a few very good deals over the past year for $5 or $10. I'm not an SvS PvP player on phone games because they require massive amounts of money but thankfully we now have battlefield to grow, experiment, and learn for free!
Don’t feel bad, moderate coining, especially for things that will help you out is perfectly fine imo 😇. The important thing is to not get too carried away with it, and not let coining replace you actually playing the game. Other than that, enjoy yourself however you like ☺️. Trust me, things get tense enough as it is, no need to add additional worries 😅👍

For some reason, I never had a problem with stamina. But construction speed-ups, I am always running out of those. I occasionally buy packs with those, but only small ones. It also makes me find other ways to find speedups, such as joining every Cerberus rally. :) I will also look for specials--such as 90% off subscriptions. When paired with a double-down coupon, special deals can result in a lot of useful items while spending small amounts of money. The one that really sucked me in was the Alliance Monthly Card. It has such a big payoff in the new alliance shop . . .
The Alliance Monthly Card?! Really?! 😧 Imo, That thing is awful 😅 I bought it once and never buying again 🙅♂️ I haven’t even been able to use up to 80% of the points I got from it up till now. Evony ruined the alliance shop in their attempt to make that alliance card worthwhile.🤦♂️ For me, that was probably the worst update that Evony did last year 😅😂 But I’m curious, 😇 how have you benefited from that card?

Occasionally, 3 million alliance points gets you 100,000 gems, so I buy those. It does, however, hook you into buying more monthly cards, in order to access the Monthly Card items (so like a heroin addict, "I could quit any time I want."). You are correct that it ruined the Alliance Shop. I used to buy nothing but 3-day bubbles but they had to limit those to one per week (Otherwise people like me would dump 5 million alliance points to buy 50 of them!)
I asked my R5 about the AMC and he said just do relics. But I believe I spent close to that much to build a decent bunch of troops (only need to do it so often). I think both are good ideas to get more fragments but one way requires effort and chance - two big reasons I like games.
When you boost your stamina past 100, it wont auto regenerate. So when i go away from the game, i try and make sure my stamina is nearly drained so it will regenerate back towards 100. Free stamina
If you are a new player and join a decent alliance, you do not need to coin, do not fall for that trap, that's the hook devs use. Just join up with some decent people and let the higher level players help you while you grow, once you grow enough you can help those below you and so on and on. You can afford to wait a day or two to level up a building, save your speed-ups for the larger upgrades of 8+ days. 👍
I agree about joining helpful and active alliances. I don't believe that your level of coining should decide what your role is... ever. And if that's the case with an alliance, get out, start on a different server, make that acct your alt, something because that member or alliance will not help you in the long run.
One thing I know for sure: You don't need to coin if you have alts, time to play and know how to take advantages of the events. On my server there is a k37 with 13 months of gaming who spent absolutely zero in Evony. This information is definetly true. The developers introduced events like Tyche's wheel of fortune which allowed non-coiners to obtain special gears that are necessary to reach 5.8M power for their generals in order to progress to k36. They are also making paid generals, such as Baldwin, Elise, Scipio, etc possible to obtain through the recent events. It's obvious that heavy coiners will reach much higher levels of development at any stage but if you are in an active alliance with full server NAP and you can afford to have a few good alts to feed you resources and stamina, you will be able to achieve k40 in a matter of 2/3 years if you dedicate yourself fully to Evony. Let's be honest... remote jobs after covid, kind-of made it possible to play as much as you wish, as long as you can do multiple tasks at once. In my case, our server has a couple of very heavy coiners who are able to run good rallies since the first week of the creation of the server, meaning that everyone can benefit from it for their own growth. Many people don't understand the dynamics of Evony and have no clue how to get the proper things done correctly and end up coining to keep up with the rest of the crew. The only coining that I do related to Evony is paying for a very affordable bot that can make me work, study, sleep or do any other activities in peace and not caring if there are rallies running. I am not doing any propaganda here. I'm simply saying that the solution to achieve my goals is to stay online 24 hours a day without feeding the addiction of not missing something. With this said, I can tell you that I am a k35 with 17.3M tech power, a little over 9M in-city resources production an hour (combined, which is more than any other k35 that I've seen), a couple of good PvP marches (with t14) and almost fully equiped with achaemenidae sets on my 9 subordinate city generals with zero money spent in game, besides the mentioned expense. So yes... It really depends whether you should coin in game. 😄 Thank you for the good content and keep it up 👍 Also sorry for the long post... 🥔
@@IamEnygma It was - I got two pieces early on without coining (just using gems to buy the max coins a day, getting the max free coins a day, etc). But the last couple of wheels they certainly made the number of coins required to get anything a lot higher, so you would have to wait several events before you could get something. And now they seem to have stopped completely, as they were horrified that people could get civ gear without spending.
You're just addicted. Most people do not have that much free time to play in the game after work and other commitments, players who are addicted, let go of their other commitments and only play the game for hours on end straight after work or even during work.
It is only a scam if you fall for it. Buy a lottery ticket instead (I 'may' buy one a year, on my birthday). You have a chance of getting a real return instead of an empty wallet and gaming experience.

I say don't coin I had that bubble glitch happen, along with losing a few civilization gear in my inventory. And I no matter how much I email them I never get help. It seems that they only care that you spend not that you have spent FYI I've put well over 9k into the game and still get ghosted by them.
Yeah, stamina is always a problem, especially at the early stages. Fortunately, that's something that can be taken care of as you advance in the game. The resource consumption event is the best in-game source for stamina 😋

Nah, I'm a nobody to the devs. I don't spend enough money 😅😂 As for the power, it's pretty easy to jump in power after a few rss consumption events of doing nothing but building troops. I got to a point where I had no significant buildings left to upgrade, so for my consumption events I was spending 5B or 10B rss just on troops 😄

Change server. It's a shame that it's not possible to change server without losing 100% of the progress, but it's obviously a bad environment to play in and there's only 1 permanent solution to solve this type of problem.
I stopped coining after k30. Now i am on k35. Coining is just a waste. You never satisfy greedy evony developers. They will make more way for taking your money. Use your money for real life. It will give you more happiness and enjoyment. And last word that on evony there is no limit for being good. And its true.
I personally don’t think coining is a waste. Just like any form of entertainment, spending money is ok for your enjoyment. What I don’t support is excessive coining. The amount some people spend in the game is mind blowing. 🤯 In that sense, I agree with you. If you have that much free cash to spend, better to look for other stuff. But of course, that depends on the person. Some people feel quite differently about this

Never coined, im a lv 30 keep with 116m but im in a top 3 alliance that helps me with rallies and stamina packs.

I didn't spend 1c in that game I played it now 4 months and k27 and heading to 28 I just get active mostly of days

It's not possible to get the Civilization Gear on Tyche's wheel without coining.

I say don't coin I had that bubble glitch happen, along with losing a few civilization gear in my inventory. And I no matter how much I email them I never get help. It seems that they only care that you spend not that you have spent FYI I've put well over 9k into the game and still get ghosted by them.
I do always have a prob with stamina ......i often start to send my troops to gathering in Between huge alliance rallies ☹️☹️
Yeah, stamina is always a problem, especially at the early stages.
Fortunately, that's something that can be taken care of as you advance in the game. The resource consumption event is the best in-game source for stamina 😋

As for the power, it's pretty easy to jump in power after a few rss consumption events of doing nothing but building troops.
I got to a point where I had no significant buildings left to upgrade, so for my consumption events I was spending 5B or 10B rss just on troops 😄

Change server. It's a shame that it's not possible to change server without losing 100% of the progress, but it's obviously a bad environment to play in and there's only 1 permanent solution to solve this type of problem.

I stopped coining after k30. Now i am on k35. Coining is just a waste. You never satisfy greedy evony developers. They will make more way for taking your money. Use your money for real life. It will give you more happiness and enjoyment. And last word that on evony there is no limit for being good. And its true.
I personally don’t think coining is a waste. Just like any form of entertainment, spending money is ok for your enjoyment.
What I don’t support is excessive coining. The amount some people spend in the game is mind blowing. 🤯 In that sense, I agree with you. If you have that much free cash to spend, better to look for other stuff.
But of course, that depends on the person. Some people feel quite differently about this
