I like her, and want her. Not sure when I will get her because a pet emergency and an impending move will be taking financial precedence over the next few months. The lower eyelashes don’t bother me, but I don’t care for her meet outfit. I also wish she was had more of a tan skintone. As for AG, I am really loving the Wellie Wishers right now, and want to add more of them to my collection. Right now I have Willa and Corinne’s little sister Gwynne.

I just saw an article about this doll, and was glad to see you did a review! I really like her Bali outfit the most! You might wanna try snagging one rather don't than later... Even two sets...It's so unique they may become hard to find! I can see it easily outselling the doll!!! 🤩
I just picked myself up a Forever Doll, as they are much easier to source here in Australia than AG. They are gorgeous 18” dolls. Not sure if you’ve heard of them, but thought I’d mention the brand.

For Berry members the points for the Reward Certificates will go back to your account if unused. They will be added back to the next Rewards Certificate you earn.
The Certificate itself does expire when it says it expires. It can’t be used after the expiration date.

I really appreciate your channel. The rewards program goes like this. If you were issued a reward then the clock is ticking. It will say when it expires. If you have not reached the 200 point mark and are a berry member, your points don't expire as long as you remain a berry member. You can earn between $10 to $50 a month. The rewards normally come between the 8th and 10th of the month, and then you have the month it was issued and the next month to use it. However if you are issued a reward in the month of December, you must use it in that month. Also you only get up to $500 in the year, but you won't lose your points. They simply roll over.
That's a bummer the points expire, I've lost 2 200 rewards then over the last couple of months. Thank you for clearing that up for me! I'll be sure to use them this month 😆
I really like Kavi and hope to get her soon. I love her Asian Indian heritage and hope to make her many culturally appropriate outfits.
Perfect doll to start off the new year 2023. The fact that she’s 🇮🇳 Indian is very tempting as my sister-in-law is from India 🇮🇳 I kinda wish that SmartDoll would make someone with India 🇮🇳 influences
Kavi is so adorable!!! You are really making me want to get back into AG again, haha. I had Julie and Kit in the late 2000s, but they got lost somewhere along with the rest of my collection on my many moves 😢I generally prefer mature body dolls, but there's something about Kavi that delights me. I think her outfit is charming, but I don't entirely love it haha. It's neat that the "Y2K" fashion is coming back around, but it's making me feel so old!

I really want to get in to American Girl dolls but I have heard from various other channels it seems like Claudie, Kavi, and the new Truly Mes are smaller bodied dolls. Could you maybe do a video about how this affects clothing between the two different body styles?
Oh interesting, I haven't noticed that. They older Pleasant Company dolls definitely have thicker bodies - I'll for sure have to do a comparison because now you've got my interest piqued.

I like that Mattel has built up the quality again. I like Corrin, last year... and this year Kavi is looking good. I don't like her outfit. I like the Bollywood outfit, but I think I will make my own. I have real sari silk, and I think the skirt will drape better in traditional materials, rather than the materials AG is using --> theirs are meant for children.
Definitely their fabrics are cheap - that will be so cool to create your own 😍
My plans were to buy Claudie, but Corinne kept coming up out of stock when I had money so I bought Corinne instead. I had first bought Gwen.
Then the leaks started so I put my money slowly aside for Kavi. I have never ordered a doll on release day before, but I did. I actually cried when I saw her here on TH-cam. I watched the GM later too. My children would have loved Kavi if she had been then, they loved Kaya and Josephine but we couldn't get them overseas, we did have all the books through a book club at their American school.
I am holding my tongue on her meet outfit until I have her, but my nieces say it is so in right now too.
I will be buying a second Kavi for my granddaughter this year, as she is 1/4 Indian, my children are 50%, well actually a bit more as my mom is part Roma from Rajasthan.
My head is already planning outfits for Kavi. I am thinking of buying some larger custom outfits from my favourite store in Rajasthan, support the local artists, and downsizing them for me and using the leftovers for a match outfit with Kavi.

I am not a fan of the extra lashes. I agree with you that I loved them on the World By Us dolls, but if I plan on getting the newer dolls, I will definitely take the lashes off.
I hope they Roll over the rewards, because I had two expire recently.. Sonali is South Asian/Indian ,,, maybe AG ‘s not counting her as the first , because she was a friend to the GOTY…. The lashes I don’t mind , their cute especially on Claudie & WBU dolls , but hopefully they use them sparingly…Great video

I am trying sooo hard to decide on my first (and probably last sadly :( ) American Girl doll and I can't decide! I actually love Kavi and a lot of her collection, but I also love Courtney a ton too and I am also eyeing a CYO. Could you reccomend one to me, if you don't mind? You seem a lot more experienced 😅

@@MunecasPoupeesDolls Well I love the 80s and late 90s/early 2000s styles. I love dolls (obviously lol) and I'm really into fashion and hairstyling. I also love makeup and some dancing. I have grey eyes and love brown eyes too. I also love colorful stuff, my favorite colors are pink and purple! Hope that's enough?
I would say get a CYO and then you can buy the Courtney fashions to go with her - Courtney's hair is not very styleable with it's bangs and massive curls. You can also get parts of Kavi's collection and just build out a collection for your own custom character 💜
I am a long-time doll collector, but new to AG, and I have some thoughts from my past few months of exploring AG, if you are interested. I have bought a few AG dolls, but I need to keep my collection small, so I have done a lot of thinking about which dolls I should choose. If you are not familiar with the face molds, you might want to look at those first (there is a good Wiki with info on this) and determine which you favourites(s) are. Mine is Joss, which is a newer mold and not available as a CYO. For me, the CYO extra price is not worth it because there are enough other options for my preferences.
Also, you can think about whether you want a doll that looks like you, or if you just have a look you like (they may or may not be the same). AG does a good job marketing each doll as a unique character, but like Allison said, many of the outfits will work on another doll. I bought Courtney because I got her on a good sale, and she is from my childhood decade, but she is actually not my favourite doll with the original face mold. For example, I prefer Mary Ellen. I don’t mind Courtney’s hair because I had a spiral perm like that when I was young, so there is nostalgia factor, but it is harder to keep looking good and is not as versatile for dressing in other decades. The good thing is the 80s clothes from her collection will work with most other dolls.
You will probably get another AG doll some day if you really like them. AG had some good sales on Black Friday. There were some dolls for $80. I don’t know how often those deals come up, but after seeing the recent sales, I only intend to buy when there is a 20% off sale. Also, depending on your area, there might be some used dolls, even at thrift stores. I am hesitant to buy a used, soft-bodied doll with an unknown history, but I have seen collectors happy with their purchases. Good luck. Once you have your doll and bond with it, I’m sure you will like whatever you choose.
*Edit: I just remembered that the rumour is there will be twins from the 90s this year, so if you like that decade, you might want to wait to see those.
