Roastorte Trust me. Don't get a Land Rover unless you are making 600k or more yearly. They are very expensive to maintain, and are unreliable. If you are making 90k plus, get a Audi or Lexus

Tata have made massive investment into Land Rover Jaguar, much more than any other previous owners, which is how the have managed to bring a succession of new modern vehicles into the product range, look back and see how long older models went on for before replacement, the exception being the now discontinued Defender, the next one will bear no relation apart from name and will most likely be a “lifestyle” vehicle rather than a utilitarian/military one

Alux.com suspension issues and shop fees too pricey. Two happiest days of ownership was the day I bought it and sold it.

Had mine with air suspension too. Spent about $1300 to replace one. I would get it again tho.
guess your american ...the dender has a ford transit van engine cheap to service and parts are cheaper if you buy them of ford the freelander depending on engine is ford for diesel and bmw for petrol on early gas
discovery and range rover the early diesel v6 is a psa engine (citroen) the disel v8 is there own
v8s range from rover / buick small block to BMW and ford as well as there own and the v6 petrols are ford citroen and there own and 4 cylinders are ford and there own based of a citroen (also used in early minis (the bmw ones citroen engine with bosch electricals)
I own a 1996 range rover HSE and love the sh!t out of it. Took the back seats out for space and economy and use it as my work vehicle. Took out the subwoofer for even more space and economy. its like owning a small powerful luxurious pick up truck. Such basic looks with enough sophistication. The lug nuts are expansive. the parts aren't bad for replacement and repair though. Good room to work around overall in engine compartment. I spend about 1/8 of the gas tank going 60 miles which isn't bad for a v8 with 4.6 liters of oil. Love it.
Don't go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. DO IT IN A LAND ROVER.
I love love love my Range Rover Sport, and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I did my own brakes and saved $1,500, do my oil changes and save $250. I feel like a diva driving this car. LOL😊😊😊
I have 2 range rovers. If you can do your own maintenance they arent anymore expensive than other cars.

Just added the Land Rover LR 4 to the fleet. The main attraction for me was the Luxury Trim Package. The Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Seats, and Refrigerated Center Console were the features I demanded.

I plan to purchase a Range Rover Autobiography long wheel base over the Bentley Bentayga, even though I like the Bentayga's interior a lot more. The Range Rover has a lot more load carrying capacity as well as huge rear seat leg room.

One of the toughest and easy fix cars ever - pity they're not very reliable...
I'm quite sceptical that the Land Rover Defender is one of the safest cars around especially regarding its side and front impact protection in a crash.
David Jackson I did my dissertation on the Defender and researched all the safety tests etc. It's like the least safe car around if you are in a crash !!! Not sure where they got that information .....

Range Rover all day long. I had a Range Rover SPORT prior to my current BMW 5 Series.
I would buy another one in a heart beat or an AUDI since I love the All Wheel Drive systems.
My Range Rover was AMAZING on Road trips as they glide over the Highway.

SO POWERFUL..
As a Brit I love the Landrover marque as ( along with the Jeep ) it was one of the best off roaders in the world ....up to the end of the series 3's that is . Give me a diesel series 3 with a good chassis and I would drive it anywhere , any time but things went downhill when all the " technology " was introduced . Now you are lucky to get to the end of the road without a problem . They got rid of the low transfer case in the Freelander and put in an OPTIONAL Hill Descent Control for going off road , great until the antilock brakes screw up and you are well and truly screwed going down steep hills . The petrol engines in most of them had a known major fault carried over from the Rover line of cars and that was it would blow the head gasket time after time after time . It was due to using a wet lined engine and a cheap crappy head gasket reliant on a tiny bead of silicon to seal it . I saw half a dozen half assed ill thought out " upgrades " to cure it and none of them worked . Too many electronic gizmos and doodahs today on nearly all off roaders for any of them to be taken seriously for extended expedition use , they are just for taking the kids to school ( if it starts of course ) .
