I know this is a different video, but i had a ton of fun making it! Pokemon Legends Arceus was a perfect remake and I figured if I was going to hunt Giratina, it had to be full odds. Also getting my first Time Travel Award for this shiny pokemon was very neat. Hope you enjoyed!

I love the use of the legends arceus remix when you encounter the shiny. Legends arceus music is on the same level as black and white music.

I will still never get over the fact that I found my shiny Platinum Giratina in less than 40 resets, and in a pharmacy waiting room no less. I was explaining to someone that I’m looking for a shiny, and that Giratina’s is really cool, and it legit showed up just in time for me to go “and it looks like … *gets shiny… like that! It looks like that!” I almost screamed in a CVS! 😂
And I thought the catch rate of Giratina in Platinum was boosted because it’s a box legendary? If it isn’t boosted, then I’m such a lucky sonofagun cause I caught it in my first premier ball! 😅

I was rushing through a Japenese copy of Platinum for double hunting purposes and got a random shiny Giratina on the first and only encounter. What a wild feeling.

I've only done one soft reset shiny hunt, which was Poipole in Ultra Moon (and it was very recently, around the start of march) and I think you're reaction really shows the fear of somehow messing up and losing the shiny. Poipole was even a gift pokemon but i had already reset over a shiny around the 2000 mark and i didn't want it to happen again. Ended up getting it at 5383 resets, congrats on your shiny!

My first game was Platinum so seeing you revisit it already felt super special. It's really cool how instead of emulating, you stayed faithful and figured out a way to capture the genuine DS footage in such a beautiful way - it really added a whole other dimension (pun heavily intended) to your video. Not to mention how this change made perfect sense in continuity with your other videos. I had never heard of the time travel award so that was a great little detail to throw in.
Big fan of your regular content but if you ever consider revisiting this style again, it would be so awesome

I hope they add the Time Travel Award in Scarlet and Violet. And I also hope that Serperior gets added with the DLC. I have one from all the way back in 2013, my very first starter in my very first Pokémon game (White 2, I'm a later arrival in the series). In 2015 he was transferred through Transporter and Bank into Y, when I wanted to restart my White 2 campaign cause 2013 me was stuck somehow, overleveled it and kinda ruined the playthrough lmao, but I am thankful of 2015 me for saving that team and putting it in Y. Fast forward to 2023, when Bank became free, and I decided to transfer him to HOME. He is now sitting there waiting to return, and I really hope GF brings back all the starters in the DLC, especially if SV are the last Switch games since there are rumors of a new Nintendo console apparently. I just wanna see my boy 🥹 , the Pokémon that began my entire journey as a Pokémon fan...
Doesn't this award only exist in remakes? Well either way, since your Serperior was from Black and White, you'll probably get the certificate once the eventual BW remakes come out a few years from now (and Home support half a year later lmao)

Too bad i couldn't record my first shiny. I was at school with no charger. The shiny was random too. Luckily, i was able to catch her and shes chilling in Violet.
Shiny Giratina is just one of my Favourite Shiny of all time, And In pokemon BD i got him under 40 soft resets with the shiny charm,

I STILL have my very first shiny, Shiny Budew (Evolved into Roserade), random encounter in pokemon platinum full odds of 1/8,192. Found Budew in the super tall grass just above the day care where you get eggs. Completely by accident too cus I didn't mean to go into the grass! I was either 10 or 11 cus I also have the event Darkrai and Shaymin on my save file too so Black and White wasn't released yet. I am currently trying to finish a copy of Black 2 so I can transfer it to pokemon home.
Waiting to get my own shiny giratina. Prolly been hunting for 10+ hours (prolly more cause Ive been doing it while watching TH-cam and doing work) now, only starting ig 😂

I wish I was able to do this, I’d love to bring my og diamond team up to the switch, but I don’t have the gen 5 games because somehow I never saw any advertising for pokemon games between me playing platinum and alpha sapphire. I have downloaded bank just before the eshop closed just in case I’m ever able to do it though. Congrats on the giratina that’s the coolest thing!
