Part 4 is currently stuck in the broken hard drive that's bring repaired so I went out and did part 5 last weekend. I'll be posting that next and if and when I get part 4 back I'll post it at a later date. Hopefully.
Nice one Tom and Richard! Some beautiful countryside that you have shared with us again. Loved the Devil's Ditch. The info about the war years was really interesting for me too. Music choice was spot on as well!! Unless I am reading it incorrectly, that sign at 09:56 isn't right as it says Early 1900's but then goes on to say 'At the turn of the 19th Century'! You know me Tom! ATB
I’m glad Richard didn’t get blown away on this one Tom 🙂 . The history was good on this one, but I had to laugh when the wife was drowned by the husband lifting the drawbridge while she was on it, by ‘accident ‘ 🤔🤥🙄 yeah, right 😉 Looking forward to the follow up vids, especially the spooky looking one 🙀
hi tom another great video you always find some amazing spots to do your wildcamping and you had some good weather too stay safe and will see you on the next one
Nice video again Tom. As to your camera on the huawei.....as far as I found info on the camera, the settings are poor and not ajustable...........try installing the app Cinema Fv 5, wich is available for free in the app store. It lets you ajust your settings fairly simple and there are many video's on how to use the app on YT. I hope this little tip helps solve your problems, all the best, Bert! ;-)
Lost on the broken hard drive mate, can't recover it. Right pain. Thinking of going back and redoing it again but I need a 2nd walker with me to drive and car shuttle. Can't do it right now with current lock down. In the meantime I've done part 5 Royston to Linton and that'll be my next video. Just finishing up the edit today. As Edward Norton says at the end of Fight Club. You've met me at a strange time in my life! 🤣😂
@@TOM_OUTDOORS That’s frustrating Tom! 🙄 Another fight club quote ’The things you own, end up owning you!’ Look forward to seeing the next review, when lockdowns allow etc if you need a walking buddy or car shuttle assistant let me know, am in Hitchin so Ickleford/Icknield Way is on my manor 😄
That's cos I put a lot of effort and content into my videos. I don't see the point in glossing over the history of the areas I visit. It's what I enjoy and what I expect from a video so I put it all in there.
Loving your videos - self isolating here in Liverpool and itching to get back out wild camping again. About your exposure/focus issues on the phone camera. I'm no expert on the Huawei phone but can I recommend getting the Filmic Pro app? As well as a lot of pro features it gives you complete picture control, locking exposure, focus, white balance, audio levels, etc as well as support for gimbals, external mics, etc. I'm not paid by Filmic Pro by the way - it's just the best way to shoot video on a smartphone. www.filmicpro.com/
Try using wide angle on the face camera instead maybe to sort the white balance My note 4 died in the lockdown and I got EE to send me a P30 pro, twas cheapest upgrade 👍 not a bad phone, shame about the orwellian government though 🤣
Very interesting info Tom, I appreciate the effort you put in to each video. The tasting of the brews is great too. Keep up the excellent content. That tarp tent looks very handy apart from the colour being a bit bright👍.
That's why I'd only use it on a hilltop or maybe a beach. I find those areas far easier to get away with a wild camp. Woodland always tends to be owned by someone who has wardens and gamekeepers lol.
Always enjoy these walks and the associated history Cheers Rob
Right on ! That tarp seams like a winner ! Great camp !
Nice vlog Tom.. just bought this tarp. 👍 Great content.
Cheers. It is a good tarp, shame they don't do it in a dark green though!
Looking forward to the next episode....at present you are in my neck of the woods...well done...cant wait until episode 4

Glad you enjoyed it
Lol Tom...that tarp looks like a UFO has landed in Luton 👽😁!
Funny you should say that. As I was setting it up a group of young adults came up the hill and thought it was a hang glider I was setting up!
That was a lovely camp Tom.
I’ve never tried a bivvy so that’ll be another experience but I think I’ll leave it till next year now. I’m enjoying the hammock so much 👍🇬🇧😄
So good 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Atb brother Tom.ATB👍👍👍
You too
Great video. Like the cider reviews. I do not think we in the states have the wide variety of ciders that you have in the U.K.
I think it's more of an English drink tbh. Although I like the look of that hot cider powder you guys have.
Great video ! And nice setup. Being 6ft3 I am wondering if this is for me or whether it will be too tight.
I reckon you'll be OK, lots room. Or sleep slightly diagonally.

definitely mate, drop me an email or DM.
Love this channel but it always takes 2 or 3 days just to watch one video

Had a look at that one mate thanks but apparently it's not for android, only IOS iPhone.
TOM OUTDOORS sorry Tom. Bum steer there! Amazed they don’t support android. Can you lock the exposure using the normal camera app?
TOM OUTDOORS hey just had a look on their site and it’s on Google Play. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.filmic.filmicpro&hl=en_US
i don't think so mate, its not as advanced as vodafone made out lol.
i'll have a look at this later mate, cheers for your help.

I'll have a look at that tonight mate and see if it improves it, cheers mate.
@@TOM_OUTDOORS that should have been "or" not "on" i.e try the wide angle on the main camera "or" the face cam as that maybe face tracks more...
