I just hope the plym valley railway (in devon, out there) of whom also on my bucket list.... will hopefully make the input-of-an-effort into restoring those two ex-HST power cars, as well as put them to good use one day eventually. Always great to see more InterCity 125 power cars making it well into preservation.
@trainman86trainstramsandmore I totally agree that a class 43 with whatever engine is better than no class 43. But I do have doubts that all those preserved , even now, have a long term working future.
There's a tremendous amount missing from that one already and a lot of body deteriorationg, so it would be a big task to reassemble it, for sure - and I would have thought that would be a fairly needless effort, considering there are more complete examples available that are surely a better option?
That is so good to see another HST to be saved, FGW Hst are rare to be saved great video
Great to see! Thanks for saving it!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice to see them saved. Needs a nice Valenta refitting
125group's 43044 will have a valenta in it eventually
@@richardmarshall4322 I wonder how many are floating about?
No valenta, not a proper hst.
@brianwillson9567 give it a rest, at least it is better than not having a power car in the first place

Oh wow this is down the road from me, I will have to have a look.
head down on the Christmas weekends!
Very nice what livery will this BR Class 43 HST power car eventually have?
This one's being sourced for spares as I have read.

It definitely looks a tired old loco, i hope its just for spares then.
Fgw hst is my favourite
The destroyed 43 :(
Is it being used for spares?
See description
Whats the point taking money from other projects
Ex Cross Country power car don't you mean ??? 🤔
If it's in fgwr livery now and it's that weathered it's been in fgwr livery for a while
Amazing , but where do you start 🤔🤔
Seek the engine imo
At the beginning 😂
How much does one pay for a unit or are they gifted
Good 👍
