Congrats to the Big Davide and the whole support team! the video is great as well! Davide, an awesome guy, instructor and diver, just go in the water with him and you'll get it... speaking from experience as a student!
I was honored doing Nohoch na Chich for my last dpv cave “course” with zero gravity. Dude very impressive dive. I do question why but very impressive 👊
Thank you! Why? Watch the video about the speech I have at DEMA... maybe you find it interesting... It was an inner challenge, pushing my limits, feeling alive. It doesn't have to make sense why I do it, it's an emotional decision... it has only to make sense HOW I do it! Thank you again!
@@divexplore21 it is upside down on purpose... so I can see what I am filming... I made a video about it. You can check my diving tips compilarions and find it!
I had no teammate. The support divers had their own dive plan and navigation. Most of the dive there were no divers with me, they followed me just up to some checkpoints like you see in the video. To validate a record, you need other people... even for a solo dive!
Thank you! I wanted to push the limits of open circuit, use a wetsuit and swim... that was the challenge! CCR definetely makes sense for long dives, sure!
I am not a diver at all. Question. Can you tell which way is up or down by which way the bubbles are going, providing you have light and can see the bubbles? I made this comment before the end of the video. Just to tell everyone a bit of my background....Massive fear of water, fear of drowning and extremely claustrophobic. When they were in the water I was gripping the arms of the chair and holding my breath. HA!
Water doesn't try to kill you. You are afraid of not being able to handle a situation... if you want to overcome it, find a swimming instructor and train in a shallow pool... obtain the tools to handle the situation you fear! It can change your life for the better! I was afraid of darkness and tight spaces, but then I realized I was just afraid of my reaction. I didn't trust myself. I was right to not trust myself because I didn't have the mindset or the knowledge to handle myself. I wanted to change that and I did, with help... I had to let people in... best choice ever! Yes, you can feel where is up and down... it can be confusing for a beginner, but it's possible also in the darkness... you feel it in your guts.
Fair question! I had no teammate and the support divers where not present all the time, just in strategic locations. It's shown in the video. The reason why I had safety/support divers is because we needed to collect the data about my dive to validate the result... videos, cartography, my computers logs, and eye witnesses. I did this dive by myself before... but nobody was there to prove it! In every diving competition or record attempt there are safety divers and evaluators.
Because of two reasons: 1- I wanted to push the limits of open circuit... it's a physical and logistic challenge! 2- I don't have a rebreather... eheheheh!
Cool to see. I wish we had some more diving shots. I did the Nonoch to Blue Abyss dive, but that was with a scooter. Long way to swim!
We need a longer documentary of this! Congrats!🤙🙌
Bravo!
Congratulazioni Davide! Sei di grande ispirazione! Avanti così!
Congratulations Davide! You're the proof that determination and good planning can get you anywhere, even 4km deep into a cave system
Congrats... Amazing job on the Video Too i felt it 🙏
So cool to see Martine there!I met him last year during my cave course! Always smiling that guy!
Something about 6 tanks strapped to the body is soo badass

Philippe.... I am not big, I am great! Ahahahahah!
thats awesome , what i do doesnt make sense sometimes but i like it so i keep doing it

Wonderful chasing your dreams and goals!!
Awesome!!! 🤙🏻
Congratulations Davide!
Thank you! It has been fun!
Respect!
Bravo 👏
Great video, just a pity your GoPro was facing the wrong way round on your helmet. Small point.

@@Ghost-Divers Ah ok, yeah I’ll check it out. 👍
Congratulations Davide! How did you handle hydration and food/energy over that distance?
I had 2x camelbak, 3lt total.
No food underwater but double breakfast and a lot of chocolate bars before diving!
Pretty cool swim!! Of course the record holder is a fellow "crazy" italian 😂😂🇮🇹🇮🇹
Yeah!
How is it solo if you have teams supporting your entire dive?
I had no teammate. The support divers had their own dive plan and navigation.

Amazing. And i love the mindsets that you show, super nice! But CCR would avoid the 6 tanks! 😅
Thank you! I wanted to push the limits of open circuit, use a wetsuit and swim... that was the challenge! CCR definetely makes sense for long dives, sure!
Why you don't use a rebrether ?
I wanted to push the limit of what I can do with open circuit!
Congratulation man 🤙👌
Why not do this on a rebreather system?
1: I don't need it.
2: I don't really trust them.
3: I don't have one, eheheheh!
amazing dude , cave diving is so awesome ,i subbed with all notis on, i am also a yter with GHOST in my name :)
Is that a catheter at 7:23?
Hey that's personal! Shhhhh.... don't tell anyone!
I was checking the comments for the same thing. Cool idea, I might try it.
@@harambeexpress go for it mate! Nothing is sexier tha a grown up man in a suit, wearing a pissing tube!!! My Onlyfans is skyrocketing!!!!
Yes, drysuit divers usually wear them but even wetsuit divers can wear them if they don’t want to pee in their suit.

Yes, it’s not hard to tell up from down under water. Your ears’ balance organ still works.
Why didn’t he use a rebreather
Wanna buy me one?
Jokes aside, I wanted to push the limits of what I can do in open circuit.
@@Ghost-Divers well it is an amazing record
@@Ghost-Divers I wish I could buy you one , or myself for that matter 😂

I didn’t know the world record was 15 minutes and 6 seconds
lol
All them people helping you doesn't sound solo to me 😅 go do EVERYTHING by yourself
.now that's solo
For a record you need witnesses.
Ugh. So much missing. Silly
